I am sorry.

I will recommend that the "Requests" forum be merged with this one. This is the only change I will recommend. I have already stated that. However you will have to wait until John and James get back from vacation as they are the ones with the authority to make the final decision.

I will not recommend a "Hacks in Progress" forum. For the simple reason that I do not have the time to inspect, install and test each and every hack in a system. This would require way to much energy and take away from efforts which actually put food on my table. Nor do I think any of the other moderators have the time to provide such support for these hacks either.

I think the idea is just to provide a forum for hack authors to post hacks that they'd like tested - not for the moderators to test them. No one would want your family to go hungry. :)

It might shift some of the less than proven hacks from the "released" forum. Then again it might not. :)

I agree that the requests forum and this forum should be merged leaving us with two forums: Hack Releases and Hack Discussion.

We provide discussion forums to help you on your way to modifying your forum but they are not supported by us and are not our primary focus. As I have said before what is being asked for needs to be done on another site dedicated to this venture ala ubbdev.com.

And on a side note if you really want something done and can't get anyone to do it, pay someone to do it.

But please don't be so presumptuous. I have already paid several people here at vB to provide me hacks; I know you don't have time to do such a search, but if you did, you'd find I have made that offer to pay for a hack on several occasions. :)

I really wish you folks would consider constructive criticism and suggestions more open-mindedly. Still, it is a phenomenal piece of software and these forums help tremendously. Thanks for all your efforts.
