Yes all my numbers have been on that list since it came out. I wonder if a complaint would even do anything?

It sucks that employees withing huge companies are selling the clients lists to scammers.
I almost fell for it exactly 7 days after i got my last cell phone with a subscription to Vodafone. Some dude called me and told me that i won 10 thousand Euros in their contest. Thing is, that there really was a contest, and i asked for some details about the operator and he said Thanks and hung up.
He wanted me to purchase a 100 Euros re-chargable card and give him the info... i was like SAY WHAT!!!??

anyone knows of one of those services? TXT Messages' Marketing? Wayne?

I've never received any spam via text message.

And I thought that you didn't need to put cell numbers on the Do Not Call list. My wife and I have never put our cell numbers on it and haven't ever received any calls from telemarketers on our cells.

Our home phone, on the other hand, gets loads of calls from something that comes up as "Unknown Caller" on the caller ID. If you answer it, there's nobody there. Whenever they call now, we just don't answer the phone.

I got my first the day you posted this thread... LOL

I changed my cell number about 6 months ago so I guess I should go register it on the no call list...

You didn't used to but now they have the "Number Freedom" laws which allow you to intermingle land line, voip and cell phone based numbers. Because of this I could transfer my home phone to a AT&T based cellphone or vice versa if I wanted to. Even though AT&T doesn't have the lease on the prefix my home number uses. Or I could transfer it to any other company like Vonage or Time Warner from Verizon. Anyway, because of these laws, they have relaxed the rules on what numbers the telemarketers can call.
