I agree. Come on vb.org :p vBulletin its self carries the search input...

vb.org's search box is like your pulldown search box on the default vbulletin install, which does not carry over the search input.

We might look into this at some time, but right now we are not working on any new features for the current version. Maybe after our upgrade to 3.7.x.
