Worst decision in Microsoft's history was to allow people to "upgrade" to Vista. Vista doesn't run on older stuff even though it will install. Just a big mistake. It should only be available with new hardware. Running it on new hardware is a dream. My computer rates as a 5.2 (mainly because of the processor) and I wouldn't recommend it on any hardware that rates less than a 3. Even my computer which isn't the best wasn't very expensive. Less than $900 out the door at Circuit City. Probably could have built better for lower cost but I find that I just don't want to spend the time constantly building and tweaking stuff anymore. Easier to just purchase it and be done with it.

I'm running Windows XP, Vista, Ubuntu and Mac OSX all-in-one! All on my 4 year old computer as well, no problems with Vista whatsoever.

I'm currently using Windows Vista Home Premium on the notebook that I'm on now. :)

I sadly run OS X Tiger. The only reason I sad sadly is because it's not Leopard. LOL. I love this system! And here is an interesting article for all of you who have Windows Vista (or despise Apple, OS X, Macs, etc.):

I'm running Leopard. I <3 my Mac.

That is awesome that the Mac runs Vista faster than a 'Vista' machine!

And you have to love that last line about apple not even caring if you run windows on a mac.

I used to be a windows person. Then I spent 3 days of an old job in front of a mac.

I have since sold al my PCs, except for a dell laptop, and am running OSX.

Why would they care? The hardware is basically the same as the hardware you can buy anywhere else... If anything they want people to install windows on their machines.

I'd love to switch to apple but I'm not budging til they get a little responsible with the price of their hardware. If I really wanted to run OSX right now I'd purchase a legal copy of the OS and install it on a PC (making sure the hardware would place nice with it).

Aside from that am I the only one that feels like I have to become a snob before I'm "worthy" of owning a MAC? Well maybe not a snob...maybe a starving artist or something...:p Point is I'm not the kind of person Apple sells computers to...just like I'm not the type of person Dell sells computers to. >.> I'm also not the type of person that'll spend $400+ on a telephone. :p

I like XP too, but in my new PC I'm installing Vista Hyper Ultimate Professional x64, just because it can handle it :P and because of the DirectX 10 for games.

I actually stopped buying Apple products because of the attitude they portray. The first product that I thought about buying from them in 10 years was the iPhone and I ended up getting a Blackberry instead.
