Nice Hack, but what about the time to load a page in vBulletin, as there has to be a Lookup for each Users Online-Status while preparing/loading the Postbit-Information... ?

Won't that slow down the forums ?

Does the Status-Information gets cached for each user per threadview ?

It depends on what server you are using. In all reality you can download the script at OnlineStatus.org and run it on your own server. Unfortunatly, OnlineStatus.org has been down for the past couple of days, however, when it comes back up, you may be able to find a fast server to connect to, or you can just make your own.

Well, all seems to be well, so I am removing this plugin from beta status. Look for a new release in the coming weeks.

Like be able to display online status in a user profile? I'm sure it is possible, I'll add that to the feature requests list.

Random question, as it's new in 3.5.1: Is there support for Skype as well, since it was added in recently, or does Skype not do this yet?

Skype is being added in in vBulletin 3.5.2 (see Kier's thread here). I am already looking for a way to tell somebodies Skype online status, which I will add to the hack when 3.5.2 comes out :).
