is there an error in the uprade script?

I noticed it didn't run after we updated our vB to 2.0.5..

the funtion called isn't the funtion scripted.. i.e. doupgrade and the funtion written is doupgrade1

Any reason you want to disable them? but i will look into it :)

Did you make any progress with this?

My main concern is the channels button. I just don't want the users on my site to get confused about all of the other channels that aren't affiliated with my site.

I installed the hack without any issues and at the first 5 minutes everthing seemed to work. But now he is disconnection me from every network no matter wheater I enter as a registered or unregistred user ..

What can I do ?

I found out the reason is that I cannot connect with a server
outside my country! But as I have an international forum are there any international servers also ? Also interesting wheater there are actually
servers which haven't forbidden the /list command ..

Just go into their #help channel and talk to the staff if you need your own room set up. Rooms with no activity for 30 days will be pruned though.

Hello, is there any way, that i can make even my registered users, connect to IRC through this client, with custom names?

I mean take all names like Guest_??? and not keep their registered nicknames.

The reason i am asking that, is that many of the nicknames, of the users have in forum, are already registered in IRC, and then when the users connect, they dont provide the password, and they get disconnected.

So the question is, if i can make a rule, that all the users(guests or registered), could connect with a default nickname like Guest_???

Ps

If the answer on the above is yes, can u tell me a way to correct the help page(is there a page which i could change it?).

Finally, i assume that commands like /nickname xxxx(where xxx a custom nickname) work through the client yes? I ask that, so i can write on the custom help page i want to make, directions so they could take a new nick or ever register them)

hey mate,
well i have tested your hack, and i must say very
nice work, hack works perfectly without any problems at all

also i want to say few things :

in chat/index.php - i think that will be better
if you will use getpwd() function to get dir and with other function to remove the last dir from it

also very importenat - to add chan password - very neccery for
some ppl.

adding the /q, /w options like mirc have (Pm , whois)

and a very nice feature is connect via bnc
cuse some servers dont hide ip (like efnet) and dont want every guy that whois me see my ip...

thats all :P and again very nice hack

I have installed vBXirc, and all went well, without problems ... but .. what do I put in the IRC Server box, in the AdminCP please, as I am a newbie to this and don't fully understand what it is asking for. Would be much obliged for any help. ;)

I've installed this hack and all was fine then many of the members got this error:

the current client gets spat out as it dont like the way it uses's ident and thinks your some random spambot, if u can get this script up and just link it on site, ill sort a config out that will keep the chan safe and secure and never fail to logon, hopefully this way can get bb247 chat working properly

My mod thinks that this is a problem with the client.

Any ideas?

Thanks, thatworks well. Is there any way that I can code the initial channel into alink? This would make it even easier for the newbies, with a menu listadded to the vB navbar like this:

Clickinga specific channel name would launch the vBXirc and take them directlyto a specific channel. They would of course still be able to use thechannel button or /join to switch channels, but their entry channel would depend on which link they picked. That would be sweet!

Okay, I've just installed this, I can get it running okay but there's a few problems.
1) When loading the javascript chat, it gives off a warning window, which is completely blank, but you can click at it and it will show a certificate window (Also blank) and you can somehow okay it.
2) When the chat window isn't focused, then refocused it will show blank white parts, when you scroll the scroll bars the blank parts will re-show their contents.
3) After using this with mozilla firefox, it will stop the functions of the browser. You can't go to addresses, links wont work and etc. I've tried it in IE and it does the same problems of 1 & 2. I'm using windows XP with java installed.

Little help?

This is a nice hack but it can be abused by users, you can quit your session and connect to other irc servers by typing /server domain.com

Is it possible to block specific irc commands ?

I am just getting started in vBulletin...switch over from PostNuke. It took me about 3 days to get vBadvanced, vBulletin and vbXirc all running.

I use this but have never messed with anything other than sizing it but.... I think if you use the notes below it will allow you to customize the colors somewhat. You would add the parameter statements in vbxirc_index template in the parameter section between the applet tags of course. You might just create a section like:

basecolor : Tells the applet to compute the interface colors from three given
--------- values, in red, green and blue. These values goes through 0 to
1000.

Example :

colorI, with I a figure : Tells the applet to modify the given color index to
------ the given color. This command is processed AFTER the
basecolor command.

The following color codes are defined :
0 : black
1 : white
2 : dark gray
3 : gray

9 : close
10 : voice
11 : operator
12 : halfoperator
13 : male ASL
14 : female ASL
15 : unknown ASL

Example :

Try putting '/home/gx/public_html/' in the chdir line of index.php instead of your domain name.

My guess in the post above yours is an incorrect chdir too. Are you using '/home/ffblitz/public_html/ffcommunity/' ?

Sorry for being noob, but I just install this hack and when I connect I got this message :
Connecting...
Error : Not connected
Error : Not connected
Unable to connect : null
Not on a channel

Do I have to creat a irc channel first?? If then where and how can I get a channel so my user can log on??? Thnx in advance

and also how can I add a moderator to the chat channel? or basically who come first will be the mod?
