Doesn't work on 4.1.7PL1, just leads to a blank screen. Uninstalled...

Working fine on my 4.1.7PL1 and has worked fine since 4.1.3 without any problems through all updates.

Mine is fairly heavily modded/customized and I've had no issues but maybe try disabling other mods (if any) to see if there's a conflict.

Hi chaps! I installed this mod on one of my 4.1.7 boards with no issues at all! I'm only trying to raise small amounts to cover my VPS costs but within hours of install I had 5 donations which were 75% of the VPS costs, and there is still 25 days to go!

Only gripe is that I cannot get it to work on the CMS, but beggers can't be choosers eh?

The hack is not set up to allow for this to my knowledge. That is something that you would probably have to add on to the code or have a php coder do for you.

BTW, my donations are slightly over 100% of target now, awesome! Fantastic mod :D

Here's how I set up my donations:

5|1,12|3,18|6,33|12

This means $5 for 1 month, $12 for 3 months, $18 for 6 months, $33 for 12 months.

I think this mod doesn't interface with paypal very well. Here's what happened with the subscriptions:

User selects $12 -> Pays $12 up front for 3 months, recurring 3 times, for a total of 9 months.
User selects $18 -> Pays $18 up front for 6 months, recurring 6 times, for a total of 36 months.
User selects $33 -> Pays $3 up front for 12 months, recurring 12 times, for a total of 144 months.

What is your forum link? It might help if we can actually see what the problem might be. Also if I remember correctly there is an off/on option for the donation bar in the settings. Make sure at the top of the settings for the hack that its enabled. And then make sure that close to the bottom that you tick "Yes" for the option "Enable Donation Bar" and put a goal amount in the next box. Click the "Save" button if you make those changes. If it still does not work then you can install the product again and choose to overwrite it when you install. Sometimes products will not install all the way.

By default its set to show in certain areas only. I believe there is a setting for where you want it to show. Where did you want to put it? If its not a setting in the drop down of the op tons then you would have to have special code placed in a template of where you wanted it to be.

The date and time is not working for me in messages sent to donor and staff. It shows up as d-m-y, H:i instead of letters and numbers. My date/time settings on forum is set to d-m-y, H:i

I was using the CYB version for a couple of years and was glad to see this for V4. However, I prefer the collapsed donation bar as it was in the CYB version.

I made the necessary edits to the vsa_paypal_donbar template to reduce the height of the donation bar as much as possible. The result is in the attached screen shot. If you would like the modified template, I can send it to you or I can just export the modified product file and send it.

I like this hack but I wish it had autoconfirm, etc. like the subscription service does. I need to check the donations several times a day to make sure everything is acknowledged and people are added to my donor group.

Someone can help me with this ... Please.

My VSa Donate got hacked and the paypal e-mail address was changed. I've looked in the Control Panel log and I only see my update today when I reverted the paypal address back to mine. This really scares me that someone was able to change the e-mail address without it showing up in the Control Panel log.

No comments at all from the developer? Guys this is a serious security risk. I had two donations go to the fraudulent paypal address before I realized what happened - I just thought I had two people who backed out before completing the transaction.

Not quite sure how it could have been hacked let alone the paypal email address changed unless of course it was one of your own administrators? I have been using this mod for a long time now and not one issue at all. Check the integrity of your staff would be my suggestion before checking the integrity of this mod.

That's what scares me about the attack/hack/etc -- when I went into the Edit Options in the control panel, me changing the paypal address back to what it should be was logged in the Control Panel Log. There's no log of it being changed the first time which makes me think it's either a PHP or SQL injection that it completely bypassed the Admin CP. Either that or whoever edited the options somehow knew how to remove ONLY that entry from the log since the rest of the log is intact.

When I click to show the donation list it takes me to FAQ >> Smilie List.

What if i want to give another icon if some user reach a specific amount of donation?

Let me explain, if someone donate 10 usd get trophy but if the same user reach 20 usd they get another icon (like a star), so i need to knoe if it is possible to create another group inside this mod?

Someone can tell me if this mod just work for 1 user group donor or you can make more?

heyy , installed this mod and then a user donated but the donation is not showing in paypal and im not getting a confirmation email from paypal telling me the money has been sent to me

because it has been sent to a guy named jason :/ was i supposed to edit somthing in the XML or somthing because one of my members donated to sombody else

Donations should go to the paypal account holder of the email address that you type in to;
Admincp / Settings / Options / VSA - Paypal Donate / Main Options / Your PayPal account e-mail address

I think this mod has got a bug.

When someone go to "donate" then click on 5 usd and get redirect to paypal page, only when this step is done, the user automatically is added to donators list without make any donation at all (of course this user must wait for my confirmation and set to new user status) but it is not the point because normally first he must confirm paypal transaction in order to appear on donators list, but it doesn't work like this.

Some fix for it?

only admins see this I think.. so he is not realy there unless you confirm
