Hello, is there a way to have beeps sounded when a message is received (in public/private) when the window is minimized?

Also is it possible to modify the chat's window dimension?

I have no idea on the beeps, but I think modifying this in the chat index template will change the size of the chat window. Change the width and heighth to what you want.

um in the chat index.php i get these with the chat

I have a 1mbps connection at home, which I assume is good enough to host an IRC room. I have downloaded various IRC server programs and I dont have a clue!

The beauty of this is you don't need to set up an IRC server. You just connect to an established IRC server and create a channel or connect to a channel you have registered. This is an improvement over the old chat hack I used that you either had to use WorldIRC or create your own IRC server. If you really want to set up your own IRC server... I don't know.

OK, I have it running now, but a few permission problems.

Users can kick and ban other users, is this right?!?! And it asks me on both Mozilla and IE to grant permission, is there any digital certificate for the applet to stop it from asking this?

How much do you charge to install?

My problem is that I have vbportal installed and it was a mofo to get right, now every time I try to install this all I get is white pages. I follow instructions pretty well but I am not perfect, I have however went thru the install twice and have triple checked all the modifications. Will this work with vbportal that you know of?

So I uninstalled this mod and changed everything back and it is still the same. How can I fix this??

On my old board I installed ucash and ushop and it did the same thing...

looks like your using dreamweaver to edit your templates / files with.

this has nothing to do with portals. Works fine for me, and it is a really easy install if you followed instructions. Never the less, i sure want to help you out with this.

The navbar that compes up when you load the chatroom (not the pop-up version) is not the same as the navbar throught the reas of my site? See for yourself by going the http://www.dungeonkeepersdomain.com and looking at the way the navbar is and then clicking on the chat link and look at that one.

Well, I just replaced that template with the contects of my "navbar" template and it seems to work.

Would it not have been better to tell your hack to simply use the "navbar" template? Makes sense to me.

Do you have any popup menus in your navbar template?

Hello, I tried the suggested way of showing how to add people in the chat to the who's online... but it didn't work...

My chat is in a popup window... is there a way for me to add users in it to the who's online...

Also how would I go about creating another section under the who's online section of the main page showing people in chat only?

I DID Read the instructions, and i get this message when I try to laod it
It has to do with the Index.php

I am new to this and I thought I put in the right path but I guess not.

not sure if I should put in ./forums/chat/ as the path or use the FTP path of where it ACTUALLY is.

How can I fix this? I uninstalled the whole mod and it was not fixed. I even uploaded all the backup files I had.

It works now but what about the options not showing up in the AdminCP, I ran the script, it said it was successful but it's not there, It might be because of the previous error. I'm going to uninstal andre-install the script and see if that worked

EDIT: I uninsalled, Re-installed, went over the instructions again and it is correct and still no Options in my AdminCP

Nevermind it was under the vB Options, I thought it would have been one of the Main Options

Does this work with 3.03? I just installed it and when I click on chat it does not log me in. It comes up with "You are not logged in or you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:".

Then when I try and log in I get a 404 error "Page cannot be found" with this in the address bar: "http://www.geocachingmaine.org/forum/chat/login.php". I do not have a login.php in my chat directory. I have the proper line set correctly in my index.php in the chat directory. Is there something that I missed?

I think I might know what one of my problems might be. Am I correct in assuming that I have to have my own chat channel created first? I can not figure out how to create a chat channel on dal.net. Could someone please help me?

I am sorry if I am being a pain in the butt. But I am pretty new to this IRC thing. I have chatted on IRC sites and know how to do that. But I have no clue as to how to create a channel for my site. I have read the direction on dal.net and they confuse me even more. then I get a reply like "try /join #mychanel". Where do I type that command? Is there someplace where you could send me to like a link for Creating Channels For Dummies, LOL.

Is there any who's online hack for this ???
