the same applies to forums that have over 1000 in other stats you try to change with this. I think the hook placement is just very bad, or another hook should be placed somewhere further up in the code.

The hack is pretty good, but the fields "Amount of additional (fake) registrations" and "Amount of additional (fake) active members" are not working for me (vb 3.6.7). Another fields are working. Any suggestions?

That's very lame of them. Thankfully it is easy to determine who's using the mod, plus it comes with big-boards compliance.

The only few questions I have are:
1. Can the members in WOL be changed? Say there are 0 online and you add 30, can you make it jump around so it doesn't look too dodgy?
2. What if people question about the members? Some members might want to do the same and remain hidden.

This is nice to have I suppose but has it ever occurred to anyone that all a user has to do is open the forum with the fake posts in it and see that the posts aren't really there? Maybe if you could spread them out between 30 forums they wouldn't be so noticable but dumping them all into one is a dead giveaway that something's afoot.

Is there some technical limitation that prevents this from being done?

As I said in my post above (before I saw this one) dumping them all in to one is a dead giveaway, especially if someone were trying to add thousands of posts.
