go to admincp > forums and moderators > forum permissions and you can set everything you need there

I'm having the same problem, I've set the forum permissions but members can still see it as a locked forum.

Go to the actual forum settings and select the forum as hidden, then set up the user permissions.

in vb 3.5????
in vb 2.x.x there was only the possibility to shape a forum as visible to the moderators and/or to the administrators but in the present version I don't see this option.
where is it? :surprised:

I've gone into the forum settings and I can't see anywhere to select the forum as hidden? In the forum manager it show an * next to the forum name. It is still showing up on my main forum though? Any ideas?

use forum permissions allow only admins and what ever other staff you want set all other groups to NO and the forum is hidden to all but staff
