Proublems with Private messaging

I installed AWS to a fresh instillation and since I have private messages have dissappeared. I am unsure why they would just stop working, When I looked in the vB options I see that private messages are turned on.


Any thoughts?

No private messages at all?

Check your edits in private.php and make sure that the last line in the code below, is in your file:


warn_notify($thread1, $thread2, $thread3, $bbuserinfo, $warnerdata['email'], $warnerdata['username'], $vboptions['warn_automatic_warner'], $warn_type, $level, $wcomment, $alert);
}
}
// End of automated warnings things
$message=$pm_message;


That $message=$pm_message, if it is not there, can stop your PMs all together.

unfortunately that isnt the issue

I am sorry, but I can't help more. Check your private.php changes, everything should work fine, as long as those changes are done the way described. Email me your private.php file if you want, and I'll have a look at it.

Right well I put in a clean version of private.php and it still dosnt work. that would lead me to belive that its not a proublem in the edited private.php file.

Well, if private.php doesn't work in its standard form, then I guess it is not an issue of AWS. Maybe you have installed another hack, as well, which is causing that?
