Password protect a folder

Hi,

I found that hack where you can password protect a file, but I'm looking for something where I can password protect an entire folder, and it would use the VB database to login. Is this possible? I really need to protect a certain directory on my site for members only.

Yes it is, take a look at my Profile.
However, it has drawbacks => Plaintext Passwords.

If I ever get time I'll try to find a way to make it use the Cookies.
