The content of warned post ($thread3) was not in the warn_pm and related templates after upgrading.

There are no instructions in UpgradeToLatestVersion.txt for adding $thread3 to the templates either.

I think I'd rather have an upgrade script with an option to just overwrite AWS templates that have been modified since last version rather than all the manual template edits. It would probably be easier on you to maintain in this way too.

Could you also please start naming AWS related PHP files to start with warn_ so we know which are related to this hack? You have some pretty generic named PHP files in there like showcomment.php, uninstaller.php, resolveip.php, etc.

The warn_pm template was not affected during the last upgrade. So how come that $thread3 was there before and is not there now? $thread3 was introduced in 3.4.10 and has not been changed since then.

I upgraded directly from 3.4.7 to 3.4.15 and followed each step's instructions. There are no instructions in UpgradeToLatestVersion.txt for adding $thread3 to the templates in any of the steps.

Hmmm, you are right. Big screw-up there on my behalf, sorry. What you should do, is to open up the file /install_warn/warn.xml from the distribution zip, in your editor and locate the 4 templates affected by this change. Copy them from there to your templates and you are done.
