I couldn't help but notice the new signature rule that does not allow dynamic php image signatures (being very popular among vB users).

The only thing no longer allowed are cookie-setting images. My signature is dynamic. ;)

What does my "district school system" have to do with your sub par connection? Hellsatan's sig shows up fine and in a timely fashion. It is within the rules of the board, nuff said. Dont you have your own board to make an ass out of yourself with?

The bottom line is that this is a forum of courtesy not of right. None of the primary staff here make any money nor profit from our purchases of vbulletin. With that being said, they can make the rules and don't owe any explanation in doing so. It is nice when they do, but its not required. This particular topic has become redundant.

Now, this is affecting my experience here. It is annoying. It causes threads to take upwards of 15 seconds to fully load. Yes, I attempt to avoid the 10234 useless threads per week Hellsatan starts as much as possible but every once in awhile, he posts in a thread I find useful and then, well, it sucks.

At the end of the day, why even allow 3rd-party [hosted] images and files in signatures?

Most coders will provide important information in their post here. You can also read the site rules via the navbar and new rules are often followed by a thread describing them.

Then putting these "reminders" in signatures is, to borrow a phrase you seem fond of, redundant.

In any event, I'm tired of arguing about this here. I brought a possible problem up with allowing any dynamic php files or images hosted elsewhere in signatures, and the team here can take that into consideration.

Most of my other domains are remaining somewhat secret at the moment - If you can connect to either of these two, it is baffling - DarkBlazes.com, hellsatan.co.uk, coreforums.net and thesistersthree.com are all on the same server :confused:

Now while you are probably going to be annoyed that I have replied in your thread, I have asked you a question relating to my signature, and I am trying to alieviate your problem with it not loading - There is no reason as far as I can see for you not being able to view DarkBlazes.com unless NTLDR has banned your IP (or IP range if you have a dynamic IP) from viewing our server or your ISP simply cannot find our server - If the latter is the case, I suggest you take it up with them, as I don't see why I should remove something that 99.9% of the rest of the users here have no problem with...

b) get a better computer
c) Get a better connection

I in NO WAY see any problems with satans sig, it takes me at the most 4 sec to load vb.org on any page...I really do not see a problem..I dont think anyone else really sees a problem either.

http://www.darkblazes.com (http://www.darkblazes.com/) is showing up PERFECT..it has a purple skin..you cant miss it. I strongly advise you to get a new browser or new isp.

1. I cannot connect to any of Hellsatan's sites. I have never been to any of them. Ever. So I guess the IP range is banned at the server level. This really only helps my position that allowing thrid-party stuff being in signatures can cause problems. I will deal with it on my own I suppose by reluctantly turning off signatures and/or start to use the ignore feature as suggested.

2. Hellsatan - I'm sorry if you took my 'useless threads' bit as inflamatory. I am not apart of the clique here, otherwise you probably have thought differently. There was also another thread that talked about useless threads you start - in jest admittedly - again, if I remember correctly, it was brought up by another member of the 'clique'.

3. I should have known that eventually this thread would turn into what it has, namely, unprofessional conduct by a moderator who is followed suit by some clique members. the reason I wanted to reply was down to this 'clique' rubbish. As is quite obvious I don`t post so often, but have always seen the moderators on here to do quite a good job .. This site has thousands of members, they can`t be doin that bad for a start. I have posted and been answered by moderators on problems I`ve had, seen others do the same, and also in the same respect had posts closed, been told I should have searched first, all for good reason. They do a job here that is a job people don`t get paid for and should be respected as such.

And lastly, if ya spend so much time on here for the signature of one person to be a problem to you, then you should get on the phone, call your isp and tell them to get it sorted and you wouldn`t have the problem in the first place. You are paying for a service you are not recieving.

It is possible that there is some error with the server - I will get NTLDR to check and make sure that nothing is preventing you all from viewing it...

As for it being a .php script - It is simply a script that if viewed, selects 1 of the 4 or 5 different images in the directory...

ROFL, if his signature is against the rules thats another story, but what this thread has become is a means as to whether his sig is really slowing anyone down at all...I mean regs, if you have problems with internet connection speeds to his site, I am sorry but that is not anyone elses problem but yours, as "taffy" said, there is no problem with speed with him, and I havent heard out of anyone else any problems with speed, I just like people who just want to be discouraging, bringing down people who help out the community ( aka: satan, marco or anyone else for that matter )

I understand what cookie image sigs you are talking about (the ones that say which browser you are running, what OS, etc.)

What I'm talking about is the sig that says how many posts your board has, how many users online, etc.

Is that ok?
