The "images" files, the actual images folder in the forum root dir or the the images in the forum root dir,

Did you read instrucitons at all? It's right at the top of the install file:


The contents of both images .zip files go to the forum root folder.
They will then either amend to the images dir already in there,
or recreate it.

I did, but wasnt sure if you but the things directly in the dir, or put the images folder their

Both the zips contain a directory called "upload". Upload it in the same way you uploaded the original vBulletin files.
