Have a corrupted db which I believe was caused by my bad trying to add a hack but no problems, can accept my error.
Have a test setup and wonder if anyone can please tell me what MySQL files & which Forum folder files I need to transfer over across to test forum to confirm it is working all ok.
I believe it should be Post, Thread & User, but is that just the MySQL ones and/or are there more that is required to get it all back up ok.
Thank you...:)
PS - yes know that I need to Update Counters once they are across but want to make sure I transfer across the right ones.

You should always transfer the whole database, not just some single tables.

Ok that's cool but if my DB is corrupt won't that corruption then come across also?

I can't answer that question. It will depend on the type of 'corruption'.
Are your databasefiles corrupt? Indexes corrupt? Data integrety problems?

That's the trouble I'm not sure what is corrupt as if I try to open any page other than admincp login all I get is a blank screen..:(

That don't need to mean that you have a corrupt database.
First try to create a new Style, with no parent. Then view your board using that new style. Do you still get blank pages?
Do you get blanks on all pages?
What file edits did you do? This could also be caused by a bad edit.

I would create a new style no problems if I could get into the admincp, but the admincp login page is the only page I can get up, everything else is just a blank page and that's it.
I reverted the .php files that the last hack related to, but blank pages still show.
I figured that something went wrong with my hack editing, which in turn then possibly corrupted the db, but I can't get in to revert the templates so not sure what's happened..:(

Did you also revert your config.php?
I would start with a fresh copy, and make sure you're using a good text editor.

No mate didn't touch the config.php & yep I use Editplus for editing.
Have done a fresh install to do some testing and found the datastore tables to be corrupted. The .myd file is larger than the fresh install file and the one that is causing the problems.
Would you have any idea what this file is for please?
Thank you..:)
