as suggested here: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost.php?p=727127&postcount=61

i think it would be a good thing, though this thread is probably useless with it already on it's way back (hence asking for us to zip up hacks) :)

Seems like a decent idea to me, if possible..

I doubt that would make any sense. Some people might click the link twice, some might download, but never use it.

I don't think it's intended to be some sort of exact indication of how many people install a mod or anything, that's what the install count is for.

Although it doesn't provide exact information, I think it could be useful to show a tendency :)

Not really removed, just not displayed :)

Indeed - As far as I am aware it is not publicly available, but was back in the days of vB2 on vB.org :)

I'd like to see this feature return once more :)

What "needs" are there to justify enabling such a feature? Why do you want it? What are you going to use the information for? :p

To beat people around the head with it ;)

i'm interested just to see the trends maybe it has 140 dl's but only 3 people install (i know people could have dl'ed more than once) but its a nice ratio to keep in mind

Yea its also a nice thing becuase it gives you an idea of the interest in it plus shows signs of how much activity the hack is getting.

There's no harm in showing it. :) Not sure why it was removed by Stefan but I'm sure it's because it doesn't really give any real info except for a general trend.

actually, i just don't display it, because it would have made the hackinfo template a bit too cluttered.

i see of course, that it is an interesting fact as well.

on the other hand, it wasn't implemented that good for our usage.
everytime you have deleted a file to upload a newer version, the counter was reset.

everytime you have deleted a file to upload a newer version, the counter was reset.Which personally I would find quite useful, as it shows how many downloads there have been after a file has been updated.
