I installed with no errors but whenever I click "vB Chat" in my navbar a box pop-ups up and the title says "vB Chat" but it just stays white. Any help?

BUMP. It appears that I can't create a room so therefore I go nowhere?

I get the same problem.
Installed this no problem, I can see all of the options in admincp.
When I click on the vBChat link I just get a full screen blank page.
(Back on the "What's going on" it shows me as in vBChat until I close the blank page down)
I must be doing something wrong.

try changing the ownership of your vBChat files to the username/group that your webserver is running as. that fixed it for me.

No dice.... anyone else find a fix for this problem?
UPDATE: Got it going by digging through this thread....

Essentially I wiped it (except the php edits) and reinstalled via the script. Removed all the "vbchatxx" columns in the user table, killed a couple "vbchatxxx" tables, and posted the install_vbchat.php and vbchat.xml files back to the admincp directory. Then I ran the install routine again and voila! fixed.

I have done that several times, but I'm still seeing a blank white screen popup. Has anyone had luck doing anything else????

How do you do that? Do you do it through FTP or something? I have a hosted solution so I can't get into the file system to do this.
Thanks!

I had problems with a blank screen as well. The problem with us was we have 8 different styles and the install program didn't create templates for all the styles, only the default style. I went and added the templates manually to all other styles and chat now works beautifully, Thanks,
Rich
