Remove Chat History when your re-enter Chat?

Currently, if I leave and return the text is still there. Can I have it setup like most Chatrooms and it starts all over? Not remembering any history?

Consider that there are users who join in wanting to see what has been going on in the chat before butting in. These folks would like MORE lines displayed so they can look back.

Although you do make a relevant point, most chat systems like Yahoo, MSN, Alamak, and so don't have it. I find it clutering. I would go on chat and there was a conversion 5 hours ago. We should at least have the option to clear history if we wish.
