What programs can I use to make skins??

how do i get xml etc

I can skin IPB using photoshop and the skin generator but it seems different from vb

There is no program that makes a skin for you.

You create a skin through your ACP, adding images and editing templates etc. and you can obtain the .xml file of a style by going to 'Download/upload' under style settings in your ACP.

Yeh I can edit the skins but just the colours I don't know how to add new backgrounds and gradient bars etc.

Do all the images have to be uploaded to my host?

Yes, images used need to be uploaded to your images directory for your forums, and you add gradients to your forum through templates.

Im sorry for sounding so stupid but im not that used to vBulletin yet!!

How do I add the gradients to the templates? Do I just get a url of them and add them in or something different.
