Gots me a problem

Hey everyone, im trying to use an image above and below the users post, combined with a gradient border to give the look that the post is in a content box. Ive almost got it, but theres a problem with the spacing between the images and the content table. Heres a pic so u can see, i also included my postbit_legacy

Any help would be greatly appreciated :D

basically all i can think of is valign="top" and border="0" on the tables, i just cant figure out why theres space...and i cant position absolute anything because the stupid vbulletin wants to do dumb things when i try. And i couldnt put it all in the same table (i cant remember why, but there was a prob)

How did you do the coding did you just make each piece by piece and tried to hand code it? If you did. I suggest getting Photoshop and mocking it up and trying to slice the image with ImageReady and replace the white centre area with the code for what the quote is suppose to be. If you are unable to do that I might be able to help when I get home.
