now the tough part

so i got my layout for the most part like i want it. now i am wanting to integrate this monster into a section of my site that is pasword protected.

would it be easier to utilize the login of vb3, or can i incorporate the login system i have?

if anyone has any ideas, or can point me to somone who does. please let me know. because at this point i am pretty confused.
