how to ban a user?

Hi,
Was wondering, I pulled up the user's profile and tried to changed their usergroup to banned, but there isn't one..There is only Imported Banned Users... Is that it?

Just ban them from your Mod control panel. (www.yoursitename.com/forum/mod/) and select ban on the left panel, and it's easy from there. once you've done that, their user group should be "Banned by Moderator" or something like that.
