How can i make my forums better?

Hey! This is my first few weeks with VB, and im starting to get the hang of it..i think, anywho, How can i make my forums better looking and more professional looking? As you can see, ive installed loads of hacks and improvements and added some features and stuff, but it just doesn't look ANYWHER NEAR as good as most of yours.

Can a top designer give me some ideas and tutorial links?

Do you know more then simple html?.

yeah. i can play with html till the end of the earth. HTML is cool....i can do all that stuff, its just.....getting that to work in my Templates folder where its all php.

+ where do i start about putting my images all around my postbit, etc
