Is their a way to change the default style? I tried to remove them all and then re-add the style I wanted as a new default first but it would not let me remove the current default style.

Please help, thanks in advance :)

EDIT: I tried to replace the current default style with the new one but I got this:

Database error in vBulletin Control Panel 2.2.6:

Invalid SQL: INSERT INTO templateset (templatesetid, title) VALUES (1,'New Default')
mysql error: Duplicate entry '1' for key 1

mysql error number: 1062

Referer: http://www.uff-forums.com/admin/style.php?action=download&

"new default" is the title of the template set it used

You cannot remove the default style, there styledid=1 must stay. There isn't even an option in the CP to let that default style be removed.

As for your error, have you installed any hacks that affect the style admin pages etc. at all? I've never experianced that before.

no I don't believe I have. But you are saying that there is no way to change the default style? Ugh.

I guess I will have the revert the default style to original and re-make the new default style

Uhm ok HUGE problem here

I deleted all styles on my board (somehow the default style also got errased) and re-uploaded one assuming it would be the new default. However the style for loged in users is still the noirmal vb default. But when I log in it is the style I uploaded

this is a huge problem., please help

Is the new style's id 1? That would make it default. It must be styleid=1 to be default.

how do you chnage a style id?

You can't, you need to overide a style which already has the styleid via the Download/Upload part of the Admin CP.

But if you upload something over the default scheme, it should work and become styleid=1.

uh oh this poses a big problem.

The thing is, I deleted every single style and somehow the default style also got deleted so there were no styles. The default vbulletin style then became the default style. I re-uploaded one style hoping it would be default but it's ID was 16 and the VB stylle was still defaulr.

The VB default style is not listed in my admin cp either. I tried replacing vbulletin.style with what I wanted and that still didn't work...ugh

Destin, the quickest way to fix this problem is to install my hack:

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?s=&threadid=50491

Just make sure if you need support to ask in that thread and not here :)
