Problems with read / unread icons

even after I've read the threads and posts, when I return to the forum index, the icon still show new/unread. why is that so? could it be some settings / functions I didnt put it right? THANKS!

Once you finished clicked the 'Mark forums as read' link, that should fix it.

Your session is set to expire after 15 minutes of inactivity by default.

yeah 900seconds but what does it mean? should I set it to 0 or something else then?

vbulletintemplates forums read/unread function is very accurate! once I read them, and return to index, the unread icon became no new post icon, good! What should I do to active the read/unread function accurately?? thanks in advance!

There's no way to change it, that how it should be on any vB. Otherwise there's a problem.

If you have hacked your board (i.e. applied hacks from vbulletin.org), it is very possible you could have messed up the acurracy of the forum timing. Sadly, if you have hacks installed, we cannot provide help for them and you would need to seek help at vBulletin.org.

thanks, our VB forums is new, havent hack anything yet... the original is already set to 900 seconds.

There is a hack at vb.org that changes this behavior, so as you read unread posts, they become "read", and the on/off.gifs will change.
