add column to forumhome help

I tried mashby's hack, I was able to add a left hand column, but it was totally black. How can I change the background color of the new column?

It's because somewhere your colspans are wrong. Try forumhome_forumbit_level_nopost and make sure you have increased some of the colspans by one. (If you haven't done it via the hack)
