This is called VBPortal which is a hack. You can see that here. [Link] (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?s=&threadid=38056&highlight=vbPortal)

okay, for some strange reason i can't access that thread now. i had no probs before but now it keeps asking me to "add" my username to the Vbulletin "form" which I already have by typing in license info etc.. for activation.

i just found my way to www.phpportals.com and d/loaded it from there.

do you know if version Default225.zip is compatible with 2.2.7? :)

hmm..needs a few modifications, but otherwise works well.

one quick question,

i'm trying to get my vBulletin board to email password to new registrations but it won't do it. what do i need to do or fix?

do you know whether the smtp/senmail needs to be configured? if so where is it on the admin board? i looked and can't seem to find it anywhere.

i've checked the following option to "yes" as well. but to no avail.

Verify Email address in registration
The password is emailed to the new member after they submit their registration to confirm their identity and email address. If account is not activated, they will remain in the "users awaiting activation" usergroup.
Yes

what do you think it is? :/

sendmail is set in your php.ini file, or your php conf file in linux (whereever that is "whereis php") and you need to set the proper settings

vBulletinTemplates does not use vBPortal. This is a different style of portal that is made by FireFly and sold.

vBPortal is alot different, and has alot more features on it. But the vBt ones rids of all the "useless" ones I could say.

As said above, FireFly made this portal, it is not, in any way, vBPortal. Not that vBP is bad, it is just not needed here, many others like it, although I personally have no use for it here at vBT.
