Okay what I'd like to do is stick my VB inside of the center of a 3 column table so that I can have links on the right and left side as well as on the top and bottom. Like this layout:

Thanks

Here is the style I'm working on:

I'm not even sure what template(s) I'm supposed to edit.

Okay well you'll need to edit header. Put all the table tags for the two side bars etc.
After you get that working we'll look to the next step.

See that's where my problem lies. I have edited the header but I can't get it right.

you could easily make it in a frame

Yeah but making it a frame would look ugly and my members would hate it.
I had tried that a while ago when we were using an ikonboard using an iframe. My members didn't like it.
Tony my problem is I'm not very good with HTML code alone. Especially tables. I build all my tables in Front Page 2000 or Dreamweaver and then just tweak the code. I have no idea how i'm supposed to split up the code for the HTML table I already built and what parts of that code go where in each one of the vb's styles 4 boxes at the top of "modify style".
Everytime I try it myself it messes up the whole board because a tag is in the wrong place or there is a tag missing. Not just that but once you go to a foum itslef the whole thing breaks out of a tables.
It would be simple as pie if all those vb boxes were just one box and I could copy it into dreamweaver and tweak it all there and just copy it back. But it gets confusing when there are two headers and a footer and something else.
What I'm asking for is for someone to break up the code of the tables I built above and show me where it all goes in those 4 boxes. just to give me an idea.

Hmm if I get time I can code all the HTML for you. These sorts of tables can be tricky. But you can't just use straight HTML in vB. You need to edit a few things, variables etc.

Okay the problem now seems to be that I can't get the forum to remain at the top of the right hand cell.

As in you don't see the vbulletin on the right at all? Or you don't see the 180pixel wide table on the left?

I see the table thats supposed to be on the left there. I see the vB, but I don't see the right table your supposed to have.

Oh no I don't have the right table anymore. I found some code someone worked up on Vb.com and used that. But it was only a top, left and center deal. No right table.
But I would love to have a right table.

Well you can use similar code as the left table but just align it to the right.
