Shadows under Tables

How can I put a shadow thing under my spaced catagories. See like Xelation has on his forums (http://www.xelation.com/forum). On the main page like under the logged in users and stuff. I right click it and see if its an image but it's not. How do I do this but if it is an image how could I come along to making it look like that?

I know almost sure that it is an background image...just like for on the top of categorie's.....but now he did it on the bottom...I know that almost sure :)
