All messages get pruned once they leave the main window... very weird. Pruning is off.

Also, how can I decrease the refresh rate?

I am confused... are you sure they are not just on a differnt page or the age is just past what you have displayed

I stay in the main chat page and there are like 5-6 other people talking realtime. All lines get deleted once they go outside (over) the chat display area. there are scrollbars but they don't become longer and basically just cover what I see.

Happens here too.

There's a number in one of the php files that you have to increase to keep more info on the screen. Been a while since I've played around with vBChat so can't be more specific.

Would definietly like to know the answer to this as well.

I nip out the room for a drink and miss where the conversation goes.

I get that too. I'm gonna go search for that number and see if I can fix this issue.

If you could that would be great.

Iedally I could do with about 100 messages left on the screen.

OK.. Open vbchat.php and look for:

// Get All Chat Messege's If Any
$Get_Chat_MSG = $DB->query("select u.*,m.* from ".TABLE_PREFIX."vbchat_store m left join ".TABLE_PREFIX."user u on (u.userid = m.s_postby) where m.s_forroom = '{$bbuserinfo['vbchat_pref_in_room']}' order by m.s_postime desc limit 0,15");

If I recall, the number at the end of the last line defines the number of chat messages to remain in the screen. Again, been a long time since I've played with this one, so I'm not entirely positive that's the line.
