Might be a noobie question, Ive used search button first btw..
Before I start to play with it I want to ask if its possible to place cmps_index.php
in site home directory and the rest of vbulletin in site.com/forum/ ?

the installer takes care of it for you only thing you need to edit is in the cmps_index page where the absolute url is needed

No you only have to edit your forum path in cmps_index.php . For example /home/something/public_html/forum
Also you can rename it to anything you want to. Then you can place it anywhere you want.
