Having a problem with this hack.

When the link is clicked from the navbar The page is taking like 3-5 minutes to load for IE users. For firefox users it works just fine.

I have tested this on my machine
Windows XP Professional SP2, Internet Explorer 6 and I am also facing this problem.

Also In IE the users keep disapearing from the right hand side under Users Currently In vBChat, like they logged out but they are still there.

Maybe a IE security setting or something? The Chat window Seems to open with a Unknown Zone Status even though the site has been added into Trusted sites.

Any solutions or fixes?

Is this a known bug or did I possibly do something wrong on install?

It's probably a IE issue, although I am not very familiar with the ... intricacies of IE. As for the users disappearing, this should happen if a user moves from the chat to the main forums window and back. There is no solution to that, I think this was the reason ZT made the initial chat window open full-screen. On the other hand, allowing the users to move back and forth is something I like, even though in my board, it's a pain, because every time the user comes back in the chat (selects the chat window again), a sound is played on the other users machines.

Since I doubt IE will make a fix for vbChat, I will have to uninstall this. 95% of my users are IE.

Looked promising. I will go back to it if the IE bug gets fixed.

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply sv1cec.

Yeah I think I'm gonna have to uninstall this as well until there is a fix.

It works on Some IE machines and doesn't work on others.

Eg: It doesn't work on my home computer XP SP2 but when I use IE at work on XP SP2 and Windows 2000 it works fine. Strange.

I done a poll with my users, Hope this helps to find the problem as this is a great hack:
