I was wondering how to uninstall this hack, as I cannot find any instructions on how to do so.

I'm not uninstalling this because its not a good hack, I just prefer FlashChat (which I just bought) over vBchat...

I would sincerely suggest that you use it a little before you make up your mind. My users hated it, especially the way the messages appear on the screen.

The user names are mixed up with the time and the message.

Also, I hated the fact that I couldn't have it show up like my forums. See what I mean below:

On top of that, when I asked the coder "WHERE" I should go in to have the names displayed on a different column than the messages, he answered that "we do not support you on that". As if I asked him to do it for me.

Sorry, products which give more attention to presentation than functionality are not my prefered ones.

As I said, try both first for a while and you will see how vBChat is superior to this thing.

I have tried vBChat for a long time now, and used FlashChat on one of my forums aswell.
I didnt want to buy a seconds FlashChat license back then, so I installed vBChat.

No offense, but I wasn't asking for your opinion, I was asking on how to uninstall this hack.

I could do it myself in phpMyAdmin, but I guess there's an uninstall script somewhere...

Hi,

Could you please explain to me how you got your rooms to line up like that?

Thanks :)

I just changed the templates and the vBChat a little, what exactly you want? I mean what is the feature that you want to know how I did?

See, I like to hack my site a lot, actually, it must be the site with the most hacks installed in it, plus some changes of my own. I tried all the chat hacks/programs available at the moment, but none of them gives me control over the program, at least not to the degree this hack does. Using something which does not integrates with the rest of vB makes no sense to me. However, your question, as you pointed out, was not that, it was how to uninstall it, and I got carried away. So apologies were in order.

Back to your original question, I am not sure if the latest installer includes an uninstall feature, I do not think so, so I guess your only solution is to follow the installation steps in reverse, manually.

It's OK, I understood why you got caried away, I noticed how involved you are with this hack :).

I've already uninstalled everything manually, but I would still suggest an uninstaller for the newer people...

How did you get around the database changes? I'm a sql n00b and everytime I try something that isn't automated, I f*** it all up.
