Just thought I'd report it... I upgraded last night and then all of the PMs sent after that were turning up blank. After removing all of the edits from the private.php PMs work once again! I also tried doing the private.php file edits fresh (instead of just the upgrade edits) yet they still all came up blank.

Find:

warn_notify($thread1, $thread2, $bbuserinfo, $warnerdata['email'], $warnerdata['username'], $vboptions['warn_automatic_warner'], $warn_type, $level, $wcomment);
}
}
// End of automated warnings things

After add:
$message=$pm_message;

Yes, this is the answer, I have missed that line, in the fresh installation instructions (or was it the upgrade instructions? I am brain dead at this time).

Just add that line in your private.php and your problem will be solved.

In the upgrade installation. ;) In the fresh one that line was there: that's how I solved it myself since I went back and checked the fresh install instructions.

Just kidding! <3 Thanks for the help! I managed to notice what was up before any of my users did, so all is well!
