A problem and a question...

Problem: when I click on the clickable smilies at the bottom, they appear as the words, for example  in the chat window.

Question: is there any way to select default smilies yet for the chat area ?

Note: during installation, i did have to select the click here option (because of the red X's, not sure if this is relevant)

Any help is greatly appreciated. :smoke:

Do you allow bbcode parsing? Turning that off might disable the emoticons too.

Also the chat displays random smilies at the moment, but it may be changed in future versions.

Where would I allow / disallow BB code parsing?

(I know that my clickable smilies work in the text editors elsewhere on the forum...)

In your ACP you will find the vBChat Options, take a look on there :)

Are users allowed to enter BBCode? Setting this to no will also stop auto URL parsing? Yes.

I have this option set to "yes".

Could this problem be because all of my clickable smilies are "hotlinked" and not "uploaded" ?

Doubtful, i don't see why it isn't parsing them, may you create a test account for me with admin access so that i may test it out, PM me with the details, thanks :)
