Is there a way to integrate these two systems so that the new options offered in Petz are purchaseable through the uShop, and with the uCash points?

Yes, read throught the end of the pets thread. I have done it.
Also, disable everything in the Pets store except change pet name etc etc.
It is hit or miss but I got it running on my site,

Same as I found. It took some major tweaking of all the petz the scripts.
I've got this running fine with 3.0.6
Basically every single instance of the word "money" was changed in every script, every phrase and throughout the templates, being very careful and checking as I went.
It also meant completely disabling the pet store functions except pet name, colour and type (although they still needed to be changed in the script, to use uCash), it also meant completely ripping out the petz bank bits. All money now goes to hand, then it can be put in the uCash bank.
I also run the vBookie hack on my site and had that runing with petz money at the time, but that has also been changed to uCash, without any problems fortunately.

Ooh, I wanted to integrate the vBookie hack as well! You may be my new best friend, ;).
So, money has to be changed to points, and that's pretty much it? Disabling those other pet functions is already a feature of that hack, right?
I don't know what you mean by ripping out the petz bank bits.
Thanks for the info, btw. I'm pretty new to ALL of this, and its just great to see how much patience everyone has for a noob like myself.

Doing the vBookie bit is easy, all you have to do is go into the admin panel and you can actually choose which type of money it uses there, so you can simply set it to use uCash.
Riping out the petz bank bits - What I meant by that is: If you use the ucash and the bank system with that, the petz bank system becomes obsolete. So what I did was remove all the relevent petz bank bits from the petz script. May be an idea to ask on the petz thread, exactly which bits would need removing for that though, as my script is pretty customised for my site now.

Yeah, my concern with that thread is that the guy who wrote the hack is no longer offering support there. He did post instructions before he left, but should it all go bust . . .
Of course, I wanted to integrate it such that members would have to purchase pets through the uCash store, and to do that, i'd need a new action file, wouldn't I? Oy, I'm starting to have nightmares about php.

You'd have more luck integrating Petz into uCash than you would integrating uShop in Petz, I would believe.

Well, that's definitely the way I'd want to go, since my users are already using uCash, to change it up now would just be confusing. At this point though, I'm wondering if its worth all the work and code alterations for the few features that would be left.

I left some pretty detailed instructions for integrating Petz 2 into uCash in the petz thread :) The petz bank can be turned off in the ACP along with the store options.
Though i unchecked the support box I still drop in with support as do a couple users.
