How do I import a vb3 userlist into a new vb3 install?

Our old vb3 installation has gone and I have an sql dump of all the old users. I need to know how to install these to my new vb3 installation.

Can it be done from the admincp, through an sql query?

1st step: export your 'user' table of your current vb3.

2nd step: install your new vb3 forum and then restore that backup.

There's far more to it than that

mine was if he want only the users, nothing else.
and if saving more table it would be problematic

Ahhh but my new board is up and running and fully patched......just want to import the users from the old vb3. All I have is a sql dump to work with.

Still it would not work, you'd have to export the userfield table and much more too
