question about the WYSIWYG

can i use it on a non-vb page, outside of the forums directory with the functions_editor.php even though i'm using it to input information into any of the post or thread tables?

i should've probably asked this before i started playing with it, but i'm wondering if i should persue trying to get the WYSIWYG to work or if i should just give up and persue the life of a textbox.

well not really, i can get the box up fine, it's managing to get it to edit that's the probem, it refuses to pull the info from the query into the text area, but i've still not spoken to natch yet so i'm not sure if i'm doing it correctly.

but i can make them, just not make them do what i want for editing :(
