adding an option for only certain usergroups

how would i go about adding an option for certain usergroups only? basically i would like to add an option to the "admincp/usergroup.php" that would turn an option to "profile.php?do=editoptions" depending on whether it was set to yes or no.

I don't know of any way to do this with the userprofile fields.

Without them you could use template conditionals and hard code it...
