It seems that vbulletin is eating away mainly at my cpu. I have a server with around 10000 registered users and at peak time i get around 100-200 people online at the same time. (inclusive guests)

At this point My cpu runs at 100% usage. usually 90-95% "user" and 5-10% "system" and 0% "idle" from the "top" command

It seems that vbulletin is running lots of php and php-script commands.

I don't know what to do, or even where to start. I tried turning all the server intense features on the forum of but that didn't do a thing.

I don't see how a vbulletin forum with 100 people online uses 95% of a 2gig Pentium 4 CPU. And yes there are no other sites on teh whole server :(

Anyone know where to start or what to do? What to check or what to turn off?

The best thing you can do is to see where the problem lies... You can ask for help on the vb.com forums, based on your server configuration.

But first try upgrading and optimizing your php & mysql installations. You can find some good how-tos on the ev1servers (http://www.ev1servers.net) forum.
