I recently took over my friends RPG. I bought my own licence for VB3 and I've installed it on my own host etc. He used vb2 when it was his licence. He sent me a copy of the database because his web hosting ended and I took over the RPG. I was wondering if there was a way I could import the vb2 database into my new vb3 forums?

sure, use ImpEx, downloadable in the members area.

It says here: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=100464 that the vb2 version is released and testing, so you could use that or optionally you could upgrade to vb3 and then use the vb3 importer.

You should be able to create a database - import the vB2 structure and content, then install your vB3 files on the server, edit config.php and then run the upgrade script - easy as...
