This has got to be easy and called for many a time, but I can't for the life of me find the right tool.

I use private sections of my vB3 board for work, and one of my tasks soon will be to post simple, short text files to one of those sections as they come in. Needless to say, I don't want to manually copy and paste, on the hour every hour.

How can I automate this? The files end in *.txt and are the only things in the "source" folder, which my vB3 box can reach. When it posts 'em, it should delete 'em. The subject line can be derived from the filename, or I can set the files up to have the desired subject line as the first line of the text file.

I've searched the boards here pretty extensively, I think. I did find a nntp gateway that sounds like a lark, but I have to focus first on the task at hand.

As always, thanks for your inestimable help.

It's the pre tag in HTML code.

I would really like it as well, hate having to reformat the text after a cut and paste, and considering I have several hundred text files stored on disk, a simple addition to the QHTML with a icon like the code icon would be very very nice. The only thing is it's possible to wrap HTML code within a text doc, so not sure if our settings to disallow HTML code in adminCP would work or not. (If people know how to do it that is)

Not sure how to display a text file with formating in PHP though.

There appears to be some crosstalk here. Still seeking a way to import text files into the vB3 message board. Thanks. :)
