Can i upgrade for them?

I am admin of someone elses board and have all the info such as FTP etc etc. Now i want to upgrade them from RC4 too GOLD and so does the owner obviously. But the owner is not online, can i download vB3 gold and just do the update or does it have to be the package they downloaded? I know for sure that this person owns a license etc, and if they was too download the latest release, they would only end up sending it to me anyway for me to do the update. So can i just download it myself and update?

Not really - because the files "you" have will do the call-home thing from two distinct sites, causing you to get a email from Jelsoft about breaching your Terms & Conditions ...

Best to wait ... or see if your client can send you their client number and password to the members area ...

Yeah thats what i thought, about it telling jelsoft its on two sites etc etc. Dont want them to think im doing things wrong :) Sigghhh means i have to wait lol for them to wake up god damn americans :)
