i wonna know how to make a link, center text..... and anything else minor like that without actually going to "the guide" and reading all that stuff to find my answer. Is there a php for newb site that will kind run down the basics for a newb like me?

Making a link and centering text are simple html, very simple. If you search on google for something like "Free guide to basics of HTML"
If you want to learn PHP however, many people have probably told you this, but your best option is to buy a book that teaches you, dont forget you can borrow them from your library aswell. I released two tutorials on PHP on this site but they only cover the basics.

Blackkboy, MindTrix gave you the best solution. Html and Php are easier to learn with a book, than on a website. :)
