PHP and MYSQL Server on my computer(help)

How do i set up my computer so that it can be run as a server with mysql and php. I wanna do this so i can try installing a board on my cpu and then be able to see what hacks do without having to be on the net. I need to know what programs i need, where to get them, and hwo to do it. Thanks.
