View Full Version : Migrate\Upgrade php3>php Sql dump problem

ok here's my story: i am currenly moving my 2.2.9 with .php3 extensions to a better server. THe new server I installed PHP 4.3.2, Mysql 4.0.12 and vbulletin 2.2.9. (.php extensions) I got the new server running .. the new board is running great so now its time to restore my data from the old server. I restore from mysql and it finished. I went to the forums and all the tables and links are all whacked!!! im suspecting the restore didnt convert whatever .php3 on the dump.sql to the .php format .. please i need help .. thanks

Backup first then try this query:
UPDATE template SET template = REPLACE(template, ".php3", ".php");

wow .. i been trying to tackle this problem the past 3 days .. didnt know the fix was that easy

ok everything works great .. except .. when i try to login to my admin cpl .. i get a blank page??

Search vB.com, I believe that there is a manual section on going from php3 to php.
