Question, When we upload styles for Vbulletin will the portal change to that style? :)

Tigga

Intex - Just creating a new page with the header and footer is fairly easy. I'm not sure I follow you as to why you need to preserve the forum permissions though if it's just going to be a page with the header, footer, and some html... If you just need a page with the header and footer though, the easiest way would be to create a new file with the following content:
<?php
error_reporting(7);

$templatesused = 'yourcustomtemplate';

chdir('/path/to/your/forum');

require('./global.php');

eval("dooutput(\"".gettemplate('yourcustomtemplate')."\");");

?>

You would enter the path to your forum in the chdir part (or if the file is placed in your forums directory then that line isn't necessary and can be removed). Then you would create a new template and enter all the html in there, and just use the variables $header and $footer just like in every other template. And of course you can call the template whatever you want, you just need to be sure to change the 2 places you see yourcustomtemplate in the file to whatever you named the new template. I'm assuming there's something more that you needed to be able to do with these pages since you mentioned the forum permissions, so if you could elaborate a little more as to what you're trying to do with those then I'll be glad to try and help. :)

Yuber - You could try opening your myvbindex file and looking for:
require('./global.php');

Right above that add:
$stlyeid=1;

Then you would just change the 1 there to whatever styleid you want it to be. I'm not sure how well that will work though as when I tried it, it kept that style when I went to other pages even though I had another one selected. :ermm:

Hostc - If the style is only different in the colors and etc, then the new style will work fine. If the new style also has a new template set with it, then you will also have to install the index templates with that template set (I think). I'm not positive about that though as I only use one template set and just have different colors and such with my other styles. I'm pretty sure though that you will have to also add the index templates to the new template set. I'm sure there would be an easier way than to just copy and paste them all into the new set, so if you add some new styles and need some help let me know. :)

I´m using it on a vbulletin 2.3 and it looks like it works fine but there is no way i can get the weather bit working.
Images just won´t display and i have no information at all, 0 degrees, 0 humidity..
It looks like i´m not receiving any information at all.
Any idea what could be the problem?

xtremeathlonxp - I'm not sure what links you're talking about... If you're talking about making one of the buttons a link to the forums, you would need to edit your index_header tempalte and change the link there.

Hostc - I saw that 2.3 Final was released earlier today, but I probably won't upgrade until sometime next week (got a very busy week ahead). I'm running RC3 already though and there weren't many file changes between the versions, so there shouldn't be any problems. If anyone does have a problem with 2.3.0 though let me know and I'll look into them.

refertech - Yea, I think you're the only other person I know on here from GA. :)

o0stephane0o - Did you try applying the fix posted here (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?postid=374112#post374112)? Be sure to make those changes to both myvbindex.php and weather.php and it should fix the problem.

Yes I did but unfortunatly, it won?t work.

Can someone help me?

Ok, it does works but it´s very strange, i have installed the 3.01 and spain doesn´t work.
The cities aren´t even there but if you check the php files, thay are in the script. it looks like the tables aren´t altered or created.
Can someone check (if he has the 3.01 running) if the spanish cities like madrid or barcelona appears and works fine cos i promise you, here in spain, we Do not have in Murcia or Madrid - 18 Degrees lol

o0stephane0o

Yes, now I am sure it doesn´t work with Spain, I have checker it with other site that have vbindex installed.
Spain doesnt work, maybee Tigga can do something about it?

Wow, big problem in deed, here is the mail I have sent to JJR512
Read carefully if you have installed the weather hack.
Hi, I really love your hack and I think it´s great but unfortunatly, I cannot make it work with Spain. I tried with the V3.0 and the v 3.01. I also tried with the VBulletin 2.29 and 2.30 but I get the same problem.
I have checked your webiste to see if it was working but it didn´t. So try to put any cities in Spain like Madrid or Barcelona. It just says they aren´t there but when you check your tables, they are all there.
And if you go to the nbc page, it does works there. Any idea of what could be the problem?
I hope you can help me with this problem because if soemone wants to ++++ around, he only has to chose Spain and you will get a SQL Error.
Quite annoying.
Hope you will have the time to answer me. If I can help, do not hesitate in contacting me.
Thanks you.

i know i changed sumthing before but i dont remember what

Tigga
04-03-2003, 09:59 PM
Oh, and I just noticed your header too... Did you maybe change it to pull your regular forums header instead of the index_header template? It appears as though a <br> is missing after the logo or something like that. Which version did you upgrade from? I'm not sure why the header would change though unless you upgraded from v3.0...

Zachery
04-03-2003, 10:01 PM
no i didnt i upgraded from 3.1 to 3.2 well i have alot of differnt header buttons, :\ i think its a file edit to myvbindex.php but i dont remember where

not poiting to the right place?

Tigga
04-03-2003, 10:10 PM
That's really confusing... It shouldn't have anything to do with the php file as nothing was changed to pull the header. I don't understand though how one file could be showing something different like that when it's the same template. You could maybe try looking for this in your myvbindex.php file:

eval("\$index_header = \"".gettemplate('index_header')."\";");

And replace it with:

eval("\$index_header .= \"".gettemplate('index_header')."\";");

Hopefully that'll work. :)

Heya Tigga,

I just upgraded to 2.3.0 final from 2.3.0 RC3 and the news stopped showing on the front page. Soooo.. I decided to upgrade from MyVBIndex 3.1 to 3.2. Now the news and polls show on the main page if you're not logged in but there's no HTML. If you sign in there's no news and no poll shown. I'm thinking this may have something to do with the high number of the forums (news is 106 and polls are 108)... Dunno.. very strange..

Tigga
04-03-2003, 11:21 PM
Try running the template installer that's included in the myvb_install.php file. For some reason vBulletin deletes all templates that aren't there by default, so that's why I included the template only part in the install file. ;)

350Chevy

Tigga
04-03-2003, 11:42 PM
Hehe... No problem at all. I'm still not sure why vBulletin deletes templates like that (other than the fact that it's easier for them to do it that way). I guess there's no reason for them to make things harder on themselves though since they don't support hacked boards.

That means the script is having a problem connecting to msnbc's server to get the weather info. The weather seems to be working for me though, so if it's still giving you problems let me know. And you also should be able to turn that option off and solve the error for now if you're still getting it.

Is there anyways to change the dates into another language?
In the vbindex.php files, they appears in the news like Apr 05th and in the rest of the site like saturday 05 April etc
How could I translate the dates and time into any languages?
I have found some in calendar php and some more in the templates but I cannot find the missing ones.

Ok, I don?t know if someone want to use some days in french butI have modified a bit the calendar hack of wajones so the day appears in french...
Here is the code:
Look for:

} else if ($bbuserinfo[startofweek]==2) {
$calendar_daynames = "$dayname_m$dayname_t$dayname_w$dayname_t$dayname_f $dayname_s$dayname_s";

} else if ($bbuserinfo[startofweek]==7) {
$calendar_daynames = "$dayname_s$dayname_s$dayname_m$dayname_t$dayname_w $dayname_t$dayname_f";

Amongthethugs - It's possible to pull more than one poll, but that's something I'll have to play with and post instructions for later when I have the time. As for pulling news from more than one forum, you would just change your News Forum ID in the admin options to "XX OR forumid=YY" - And you would just change XX and YY to your forum id's.

ok so say I want to pull news from forum id 3 and 8 then where in my options page in admin i change the 3 that is there now to 3 or forumid=8 ?

also i created index_custom3 and in the index template I added $custom3 but nothing loads from the index_custom3 template

o0stephane0o
04-07-2003, 10:49 AM
You should do the following i think but backup your database in case it messes it up..
Create a new template called index_custom3 with the same content as the previous 2.
then modify the myvbindex.php file like that:
look for:
// Custom Boxes
$custom1 = '';
$custom2 = '';
if ($showcustom1) {
$getbgrow = getrowcolor();
eval("\$custom1 = \"".gettemplate('index_custom1')."\";");
}
if ($showcustom2) {
$getbgrow = getrowcolor();
eval("\$custom2 = \"".gettemplate('index_custom2')."\";");
}
Replace by:

// Custom Boxes
$custom1 = '';
$custom2 = '';
$custom3 = '';
if ($showcustom1) {
$getbgrow = getrowcolor();
eval("\$custom1 = \"".gettemplate('index_custom1')."\";");
}
if ($showcustom2) {
$getbgrow = getrowcolor();
eval("\$custom2 = \"".gettemplate('index_custom2')."\";");
}
if ($showcustom3) {
$getbgrow = getrowcolor();
eval("\$custom3 = \"".gettemplate('index_custom3')."\";");
}

And then execute the following sql request:

$DB_site->query("INSERT INTO setting VALUES (NULL,50,'Show Custom Template 3?','showcustom3','0','Show your third customized template.','yesno','30');");

Then put in your myvbindex.php $custom3 wherever you?d like your third custom template to be.

I haven?t tested it but i guess it should work.
I repeat again, backup before doing any changes...

Let me know how it went..

Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: php_hostconnect: connect failed in /home/psx4gued/public_html/forum/index.php on line 389

Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to www.msnbc.com:80 in /home/psx4gued/public_html/forum/index.php on line 389

any idea how to solve it?

Tigga
04-08-2003, 12:31 AM
attroll - Yes. Assuming you wanted to do this to your Custom 1 template, here is what you would do... Open your myvbindex.php file and look for:
if ($showcustom1)
Change that to:
if ($showcustom1 AND $bbuserinfo[usergroupid]==6) {

Amongthethugs - You would just change your News Forum ID (first option under the myvbindex opts) to 3 or forumid=8
As for creating more custom templates, see the instructions in this post (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?postid=327859#post327859).

o0stephane0o - As for changing the date format, there are 3 places in the myvbindex.php file you should look for:
$thread['date'] = vbdate("m-d-y $timeformat", $thread['dateline']);

$dateposted = vbdate("M d, Y - g:i A",$news['dateline']);

$lastvisit = vbdate("m-d-y g:i a", $bbuserinfo['lastvisit']);

You should be able to change the date format in those three places, and if there are any I've forgotten let me know.
As for the weather... What version of myvbindex are you running? Have you tried applying both of the fixes listed in JJR512's thread? If those don't work, please post here or PM me with a link to your site.

Tigga - quick question:

I'd like to have one of the news items posted stuck at the top. This would be for a general website introduction that will always appear there, then other news posts below. Is this possible without altering the database date / time post for that thread everytime a new news post is created that would take priority position?

Thx.

Tigga
04-12-2003, 05:14 PM
Intex - Yes, it is possible to have "sticky" news posts. Just open your myvbindex.php file and look for:
ORDER BY thread.threadid DESC $newsmax");
Replace that with:
ORDER BY sticky DESC,thread.threadid DESC $newsmax");

I used one of the custom templates to put an item there.

Speaking of which, how do we add more custom templates? I know how to make the template, but the control panel only has options for two. Is there a way to add more?

Intex - Yes, it is possible to have "sticky" news posts. Just open your myvbindex.php file and look for:
ORDER BY thread.threadid DESC $newsmax");
Replace that with:
ORDER BY sticky DESC,thread.threadid DESC $newsmax");

I lost weather again, and am getting the following error warning on my homepage:

Warning : fsockopen() [ function.fsockopen ]: php_hostconnect: connect failed in /home/pkrwud/public_html/myvbindex.php on line 588

Any thoughts?

Okay, this got worse. At some point this evening, my website could not be accessed at all, through the myvbindex page. It took me a while to realize that by redirecting traffic to the forum home page instead, you could get to the forums, but the myvbindex page still came back as data cannot be accessed from this address, or something similar. On a hunch, I went into my control panel, and turned off the weather option. Low and behold, after cancelling the redirect, myvbindex page now works again, just like old times, minus the weather.

Does this mean that weather is gone for good? Any thoughts at all?

Tigga

That's really strange. The weather's working fine on my site and a few others I checked. Which version of mYvBindex are you running? If it's below 3.2, try uploading the weather.php file in that version, go to it, and click on "Force Update". If that doesn't work, try applying the fix lemarsu posted here (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?postid=372943#post372943) in the Weather Mk thread.

PKRWUD

I made lemarsu's change that same week (that it was posted), and all was well until yesterday or the day before, when the weather stopped working, and the error warning appeared above the header on, and only on, my myvbindex page. I am using version 3.1. I will find the upgrade, and do as you suggest. Thanks for looking into it for me.

Uploading the weather.php file from the 3.2 download corrected the problem. I don't understand why, but that's why I'm an automotive mechanic, not a computer mechanic. lol.

Thanks again so much for your help!!!

Please disregard my last post. It is not fixed afterall. I got the same fsock open warnings, so I re-downloaded the new weather.php file, then uploaded it to my vBulletin folder, ran it, and selected forced update, and now I get this warning:

Warning : fsockopen() [ function.fsockopen ]: php_hostconnect: connect failed in /home/pkrwud/public_html/vbulletin/weather.php on line 36

Warning : fsockopen() [ function.fsockopen ]: unable to connect to www.msnbc.com:80 in /home/pkrwud/public_html/vbulletin/weather.php on line 36

PKRWUD - Check your PMs. ;)

certify - That's really strange. Have you changed something to have it pull news posts from more than one forum? Have you installed any other hacks lately that could have affected it?

jjj0923 - There have been MANY changes since v2.0 of this hack. I would recommend uninstalling v2.0 (using the uninstall file included with that version) and then doing a fresh install of v3.2. Then once you install 3.2, go back to the install file and click on "Click here to update your news posts". That will update all your news posts, so as long as you do that you shouldn't have any problems.

In case you're not sure what I mean, you would open your admin/config.php. Right before the ?> at the end of that file, add the code:
$debug="1";
Then upload that file and go to the url - http://cross-x.com/home/indextest.php?explain=1
If you wouldn't mind doing that and pasting the results of that page here I'll be glad to take a look and see if I can figure out why it's loading so slow.

alkatraz - No, that wouldn't be hard at all. At the very bottom of the myvbindex.php file look inbetween the following lines:

if ($showcustom2) {
$getbgrow=getrowcolor();
eval("\$custom2 = \"".gettemplate('index_custom2')."\";");
}
And:
$getbgrow=getrowcolor();
eval("dooutput(\"".gettemplate('index')."\");");

?>

In that space you can add code for it to call more custom templates. You would just add something like the following:

eval("\$custom3 = \"".gettemplate('index_custom3')."\";");

The variable $custom3 there can be called whatever you would like and would be what you would use in the index template to call that template. Then the part index_custom3 should be renamed to whatever you are calling your new template. Also, if you would like to be able to use the $getbgrow function in that template to alternate between your firstaltcolor & secondaltcolor, you should add the following above that code as it is with the others.

$getbgrow=getrowcolor();

With that method of adding more custom templates, there's no need to turn them on or anything in the Admin CP. Just add the variables in the index template and it should work fine. Or if you particularly want to be able to turn them off let me know and I'll post instructions on how to do that.

Just wondering if you got my PM. The problem came back.

Also, because I just felt like being really stupid, I tried what you suggested above (the debug thing), and it wiped out my admin/config file, and did something else so that my server decided I was instantly 800mb's over my limit, which made it so that I couldn't copy my backup admin/config file to the admin folder. It was a very lively 10 minutes before I decided to try moving it instead of copying it. That worked. Anyway, check your PM's.

MuSuL - By default the script will only pull threads that your users have permission to view. If it's still pulling threads which users shouldn't have persmission to view, you most likely don't have your forum permissions set correctly. Go in your Admin CP, click on "Forum Permissions", and then double check that your private forums are set not to allow users to view threads for each usergroup that shouldn't have permission, and that "Use custom settings" at the top is selected. I'm about 99% sure that if the permissions are set correctly that it will work fine, but someone is having that problem would like me to take a look let me know.

<i>Taken straight from the readme file.</i>

Q. I installed the script and it seems to work, but no news topics are showing up in the center.
A. mYvBindex adds an extra colum to your post table to determine whether or not the post is the first in the thread. Any posts that were made in your news forum before you installed this script will not be displayed. You can update these posts by uploading the myvb_install.php file to your forums/admin folder and selecting the option to update your news posts.
If you are having problems getting posts to display that were created After you installed myvbindex, be sure that your News Forum ID is set correctly and that you modified your newthread.php file and uploaded it to your server.

If you'll refer to this post (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?postid=348560#post348560), it will show you how to add one seperate page in place of the news. Then if you'll look at the instructions I posted here (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?postid=349929#post349929) to Matrix, that will tell you what you would need to do to add more than one seperate page after you've added the first. I'd really like to see a "source" add-on with this, so when you're creating a thread you can cite the source that will be displayed on the front page.. I know vbhome has a similiar add-on available on that. Would love to see one here too. (I use both scripts on several sites I work on).

Tigga
04-20-2003, 08:58 PM
Alien - I just took a look at Teck's "article source" hack and it doesn't look like it would be too hard to implement it with mYvBindex. The only difference would be the modifications to the news part in your index.php file, and if you're at least a little fluent with PHP, then it shouldn't be too hard to figure out. If you have problems getting it to work though let me know and I'll post what the changes would be.

MuSuL - Glad to hear it's working right. :)

KelteN - That would have to be a problem with another hack you've installed as this script wouldn't affect any of the files you use to update your counters. I'd recommend uploading a fresh admin/misc.php file and see if that helps. If not, my next best guess would be it's something in your admin/functions.php file (that's just a guess though. ;))

Ok, here's the changes you would make to your myvbindex.php instead...

Near the top of the file, look for:
index_polledit,';

Change that to
index_polledit,home_articlesource,';

Then look for:
votenum,votetotal,postid,pagetext

Replace that with:
votenum,votetotal,articlesource as sourcetitle,articlesourceurl as sourceurl,postid,pagetext

Then look for:
eval("\$newsbits .= \"".gettemplate('index_newsbits')."\";");

Right Above that Add:
$articlesource = '';
$articlesourceurl = '';
if ( !empty( $news['sourceurl'] ) )
{
$articlesourceurl = ' href="' . $news['sourceurl'] . '" target="_blank"';
}
if ( !empty( $news['sourcetitle'] ) )
{
eval( '$articlesource = "' . gettemplate( 'home_articlesource' ) . '";' );
}

Then you would follow the rest of the steps in Teck's install file, except you would add $articlesource wherever you would like that to appear in your index_newsbits template instead. That should be it. :)

hi there,
excellent hack and i currently have it running perfect at:

www.realmods.net

with weather to come and a few more modding of the templates still to come also.

here are some things i am after to add:

- Reviews
Bit like the way news work but members can post there reviews which will be moderated by admins, then it displays the start of the thread title and linked from the main page.

- Counter (added to the footer)
Probably dead easy to do but i am thick at any kind of code and i dont want anything but PHP, i have tried but it doesnt work if i try to include the .php file in the template.

- gallery
Users can upload or link a maximum of 10 pictures which will be displayed in the gallery pages and linked on there user profile. Each image will have the author, image name and image description and when image is clicked it opens the image up in a new page full size, as images displayed on the gallery page are thumnails.

any of these easy to do? and if so can anyone either help me do them or could do them for me etc. or a way to update it..

would be great additionas to do :rolleyes:

cheers. :beard:

or any other hacks that i can use to incorporate the features i need ??!

Tigga
04-21-2003, 10:59 PM
Well a "reviews" section probably wouldn't be too hard in your case. Since you don't appear to be using the latest threads portion of the script, you could fairly easily turn that into a reviews section instead. You would just make a new forum for your reviews and make sure permissions are set correctly so you can moderate new threads. Then just open your myvbindex.php file and look for:
WHERE open<>10 $iforumperms

Replace that with:
WHERE open<>10 AND forumid=XX
(you would just replace XX there with the forumid of your reviews forum)
Also, in that same line of code you will see "ORDER BY lastpost". If you wanted the threads to be displayed in the order they were created rather than by when the last post was made, you could replace that with "ORDER BY threadid". That should be enough to get you started on that.

As for a a counter system, see this post (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=30257) on vbulletin.com and it should help you to include the file for the counter.

As for a photo gallery hack, there's at least one or two released here. Some other solutions you might look at would be http://photopost.com, http://4homepages.de, http://gallery.menalto.com/, There's a million other image gallery scripts out there as well, so just look around. ;)

Hopefully I'll have my advanced version of this script finished up in a few months. It will include everything you asked about here and a lot more, but it'll be a little while before it's finished, and it won't be free. ;)

Hi Tigga,

i can see that certain things to be turned off and not used ie weather and calender etc?

Does it also allow me to place the certain parts of myvbindex3.2 into my existing index page or is myvbindex3.2 only able to be used as a complete index page?

Is the mailing list part of vB or part of myvbindex 3.2?

And lastly, does the current online user only account for users on the forums and the index page, or can it include other non-vb pages?

Thanks in advance! :chinese:

Tigga

glo - I'm assuming you looked at my website and that's where some of these questions came from... You can't really place parts of myvbindex into your existing index page. It would pretty much have to be replaced with the script, or it could be used as something besides your main index page.
There is a way you could also turn this into a "portal" similar to the way I've done it on my site. If you were interested in doing something like that you should be able to find the instructions by searching this thread for "portal" (though if you can't find it let me know and I'll help you out).
The mailing list on my site is part of another simple script, seperate from vBulletin and mYvBindex.
The current online user part only accounts for people that are on your forums or on your index page. If you used the instructions to turn the script into a portal then it would also account for users on any page that was powered by mYvBindex or vBulletin.
To see exactly what is/isn't included with mYvBindex, just check out the screen shots in the first post. ;)

Ok, I'm having problems because I installed the hidden posts hack (http://www.vbulletin.org/hacks/index.php?s=&action=showhack&hackid=130). I tried fixing it myself, but I get nowhere with newthread.php. Here's what I have so far that I have no idea how to fix to make room for the h.p. hack.:

$DB_site->query("INSERT INTO post (postid,threadid,title,username,userid,dateline,at tachmentid,pagetext,allowsmilie,showsignature,ipad dress,iconid,visible,hidden) VALUES (NULL,'$threadid','".addslashes(htmlspecialchars($subject))."','".addslashes($postusername)."','$bbuserinfo[userid]','".time()."','$attachmentid','".addslashes($message)."','$allowsmilie','$signature','$ipaddress','$iconi d','1','$hidden')");

Instead of the default newthread php coding of:

$DB_site->query("INSERT INTO post (postid,threadid,title,username,userid,dateline,at tachmentid,pagetext,allowsmilie,showsignature,ipad dress,iconid,visible) VALUES (NULL,'$threadid','".addslashes(htmlspecialchars($subject))."','".addslashes($postusername)."','$bbuserinfo[userid]','".time()."','$attachmentid','".addslashes($message)."','$allowsmilie','$signature','$ipaddress','$iconi d','1')");

Actually I think you may be able to make the news work without even editing the newthread.php file. If you would like to try this out, here is what you would do...
Open your myvbindex.php file and look for the news query:
$getnews = $DB_site->query("SELECT thread.threadid,thread.title,replycount,postuserna me,postuserid,thread.dateline,views,thread.iconid, votenum,votetotal,postid,pagetext,allowsmilie,show signature,signature".iif($shownewsavatar,",avatarpath,NOT ISNULL(avatardata) AS hascustom,customavatar.dateline AS avatardateline ","")." ".iif($shownewsicon,',thread.iconid as iconid,icon.title as icontitle,icon.iconpath as iconpath','')."
FROM thread
LEFT JOIN post ON (thread.threadid=post.threadid)
LEFT JOIN user ON (user.userid=post.userid)
".iif ($shownewsavatar,"LEFT JOIN avatar ON (avatar.avatarid=user.avatarid)
LEFT JOIN customavatar ON (customavatar.userid=user.userid) ","")."
".iif ($shownewsicon,'LEFT JOIN icon ON icon.iconid=thread.iconid','')."
WHERE forumid=$newsforum AND isnews='Y'
ORDER BY thread.threadid DESC $newsmax");
Replace that with:
$getnews = $DB_site->query("SELECT thread.threadid,thread.title,replycount,postuserna me,postuserid,thread.dateline,views,thread.iconid, votenum,votetotal,MIN(postid),pagetext,allowsmilie ,showsignature,signature ".iif($shownewsavatar,",avatarpath,NOT ISNULL(avatardata) AS hascustom,customavatar.dateline AS avatardateline ","")." ".iif($shownewsicon,',thread.iconid as iconid,icon.title as icontitle,icon.iconpath as iconpath','')."
FROM thread
LEFT JOIN post ON (thread.threadid=post.threadid)
LEFT JOIN user ON (user.userid=post.userid)
".iif ($shownewsavatar,"LEFT JOIN avatar ON (avatar.avatarid=user.avatarid)
LEFT JOIN customavatar ON (customavatar.userid=user.userid) ","")."
".iif ($shownewsicon,'LEFT JOIN icon ON icon.iconid=thread.iconid','')."
WHERE forumid=$newsforum AND open<>10
GROUP BY thread.threadid
ORDER BY thread.threadid DESC $newsmax");
There was a problem before with random posts sometimes being displayed on the homepage if the newthread.php file isn't modified, but I'm pretty sure if the query was done that way it should work. If not let me know and I'll see what you would need to change in your newthread.php file instead. :)

I hate to be doing this again *lol* I'm having issues with your suggestion so I was wondering if you could help me hack my copy of newthread.php?

Tigga
04-24-2003, 11:56 PM
You should probably edit your post and remove the attachment since you're not allowed to post full vB files here. ;)

To fix your newthread.php file you would need to chage this bit of code:
$DB_site->query("INSERT INTO post (postid,threadid,title,username,userid,dateline,at tachmentid,pagetext,allowsmilie,showsignature,ipad dress,iconid,visible,hidden) VALUES (NULL,'$threadid','".addslashes(htmlspecialchars($subject))."','".addslashes($postusername)."','$bbuserinfo[userid]','".time()."','$attachmentid','".addslashes($message)."','$allowsmilie','$signature','$ipaddress','$iconi d','1','$hidden')");
To this:
$DB_site->query("INSERT INTO post (postid,threadid,title,username,userid,dateline,at tachmentid,pagetext,allowsmilie,showsignature,ipad dress,iconid,visible,hidden,isnews) VALUES (NULL,'$threadid','".addslashes(htmlspecialchars($subject))."','".addslashes($postusername)."','$bbuserinfo[userid]','".time()."','$attachmentid','".addslashes($message)."','$allowsmilie','$signature','$ipaddress','$iconi d','1','$hidden','Y')");

Then you should upload the myvb_install.php file and select the option to update your news posts. That should update all the posts in that forum.

Hey Tigga I was thinking. I'm not sure if this was asked before but, in the top 10 thread list, is there a possible way to make a "take to last post" link some where and "Who" made the thread instead of who the author of the thread was?
Do you know what I'm asking for? ^^;

EDIT: Never mind, I found a way, just a matter of copying links from threadbits and adding $bburl/ in front. Real cool, I'm a semi-hacker! XD

Tigga
04-25-2003, 06:14 PM
Yep. I actually added in the mouse hover effect in v3.2, mostly so people could change that though the templates without any hacking. I've changed it to show the last post time and poster on my site as well, and moved the thread starter and time into the mouse over effect. :)

Licensed VB users beware of an individual with the an email address of tonyxp@msn.com asking you to supply the myvbindex hack to him. He wrote me and said he does not have permission to download the hack and asked me if I'd supply it to him.

I'll give you one guess as to my answer....."why don't you have permission?" :)

Heh... He emailed me 3 times today asking for the hack. I tried to ask him for the url to his site and he replied with this:

I don't own a live website or a license copy of vb right now. I just want
to install php things on my box at home to learn php purpose. If you could
help me out, I really appreciated.

I had already informed Erwin of him emailing me, so I'll be sure to point out your post as well jjj0923. :)

Tigga I never showed you the design i did and the implementation of myvbindex. Take a look at www.diamondchitchat.com. I got paid quite a bit for designing/implementing this so i'm quite proud to show it off! :)

Just a side note though. please ignore the blue input fields and textareas ;). I never would use such disgusting things but the client changed it after we had finished so what can you do ;)

All the best

I don't think I'd agree that the input fields look bad with the blue there though. I kinda like the blue there, but I do agree with you that it doesn't look quite right on the submit buttons.

well i took the risk in installing this on a test site that i made. shes a no go...i followed the steps and even back tracked file by file to make sure i didnt miss anything. then when i get to this part http://yoursite.com/forum/admin/myvb_install.php nothing happends. sites now dead...good thing i backed it up. :rolleyes:

everything seems to be in its right place, but its not installing...

Tigga

Jacko - Well unless any bugs are found (which I don't think there are any) then this will be the last version of mYvBindex for vBulletin 2.x. With vB 3.0 right around the corner (hopefully) I don't see much of a point in tweaking this version much more.

mv540 - Are you saying the install script messed up your forum? There's no way this would happen, especially if you didn't even make it though any of the steps for the installer (nor would it mess up anything if you did make it though the installer). Can you tell me what version of PHP, MySQL, vBulletin, and mYvBindex you're running? What exactly happens when you go to the install file - Do you get a blank white page, an error, or what?

As long as you uploaded the myvb_install.php file to your forum/admin directory and you're going to the correct url, there's no reason you should get that error. If you're sure that's been done correctly and you would like me to take a look at it you can set me up a temporary admin account at your forum and a temporary FTP account. If you want to do that and PM me with the info I'll be glad to take a look and see what's wrong. Other than that though, I don't see why you would be having problems so it's hard to tell what the cause is without being able to test it out myself.

04-29-2003, 07:43 PM
Um, ok... I don't see the problem. I just registered at your site and logged in/out just fine, and was redirected to your main index page as I should have been.
I did notice though that your "Want to Register?" and "Forgotten your Password" links there don't work... If you don't allow guests to view your forum or index page you should edit your username_loggedout template and change those 2 links to the full url to your forums.
You are also having an issue with cookies as well. What do you have set for your "Cookie Domain" and "Path to save cookies" in your main Admin CP options?

mv540
04-29-2003, 07:49 PM
while you were having a look i made a change which seem to have fixed the redirect problem....

these are the changes i made from when i asked if everything looked ok....

i made the modification from this......

//header("Location: $url");

$url = str_replace("\"", "", $url);
eval("standardredirect(\"".gettemplate("redirect_login")."\",\"\$url\");");
} else {
$bbuserinfo=getuserinfo($userid);
eval("standardredirect(\"".gettemplate("redirect_login")."\",\"\$url\");");
}

to this....

}
//header("Location: $url");

$url = str_replace("\"", "", $url);
eval("standardredirect(\"".gettemplate("redirect_login")."\",\"/index.php?s=$session[dbsessionhash]\");");
} else {
$bbuserinfo=getuserinfo($userid);
eval("standardredirect(\"".gettemplate("redirect_login")."\",\"/index.php?s=$session[dbsessionhash]\");");
}

then the redirect problem seemed to have corrected itself.

as of for the cookie problem ive had that since day one..lol
i have no idea whats wrong...

here are my cookie settings in my admin cp...

GZIP compression level 1
Cookie Domain .mydomain.com (noted the 2 dots)
path to save cookies is /

is that correct?

The fix you did for the redirect problem should work, but the only drawback to doing it that way is that your users will be redirected to your homepage anytime they log in. I guess that wouldn't be an issue in your case though since they have to be logged in to view the site. :)
You cookie settings do seem to be correct. You could try changing the Cookie Domain and just leave it blank. The .mysite.com seems to work best for most people, but in a few cases it seems to work better if it's left blank instead.

As for changing that template, just edit that template in your Admin CP. You should see the 2 links there, so just add /forums/ in front of the url to each of them.

mv540
04-29-2003, 08:16 PM
ok, one last and final check for any problems....this is very weird..at the log in page where you enter your name and password, all links work fine, but then the minute you click on the home button and then try to click on anything else, it gets page not displayed,

Will altering what you have instructed fix this problem?

im still alittle confused on what to add here...can you please advise...here is the info from the username_loggedout template. i dont want to mess things up so im asking you just to be certain. Can you please use example of my domain and where it should go?

This is what you should have for that template...

<tr valign="top">
<td bgcolor="#1C5780"><normalfont><b>Your User Name:</b></normalfont></td>
<td bgcolor="#1C5780"><normalfont><input type="text" class="bginput" name="username" value="$bbuserinfo[username]" size="25">
</normalfont>
<smallfont><a href="/forums/register.php?action=signup">Want to register?</a>
</smallfont></td>
</tr>
<tr valign="top">
<td bgcolor="#13486D"><normalfont><b>Your Password:</b></normalfont></td>
<td bgcolor="#13486D"><normalfont><input type="password" class="bginput" name="password" value="" size="25">
</normalfont>
<smallfont><a href="/forums/member.php?s=$session[sessionhash]&action=lostpw">Forgotten your password?</a>

As for the links at the top, those are all in your header template. My suggestion would be to edit the links in that template as well and add /forums/ in front of each link there as well.

sure np....i dont think anything was there before installing myvbindex...i tried adding the domain (ie: .mydomain.com) for the cookie domain as per instructions in the admin cp..but like you said leaving it blank was best..cookies seem to be working great right now, atleast after signing out you cant get back in by clicking home..lol..but still something must be triggering the error..

ill switch you now..

Tigga
04-29-2003, 09:47 PM
Ok, that's really odd... After trying some things on the homepage the cookies seem to work. What's weird though is if you go to the url http://www.yoursite.com, it seems to be different than if you go to http://yoursite.com (without the www). To see what I'm talking about, try going to your index page with the www's in the url and click on the "logout" link that's part of mYvBindex (not the button at the top, but the link). It doesn't work there because that uses your forum's url setting in the Admin CP, which doesn't have the www in front. However, if you click on the logout button in your header (which uses the url you are currently at) then it logs you out as it should. The only difference in those 2 links is that one of them has the www's in front of it. It really doesn't make sense why that would affect anything. Either way, I editing your index_welcometext template and changed the logout link so it would be the same as your logout button (basically removed $bburl and replaced it with /forums/) and it seems to work as it should. If it gives you any problems try clearing your cookies in your browser and it should work just fine. If not though let me know and I'll look into it further.

Hiya Tigga,

it's just again me to bother you :) Thx for solving the other problem. I really was looking in the wrong spot.

Anyway, is there a simple way of embedding different myvBindex pages for different usergroups?

You see, I will host a Diablo 2 and a Counter Strike Clan and it would be nice if they both had their different news board, their different polls and different layout.

Is that possible?

i guess i would need to alter both, one for my forum and one for the vbindex

Tigga

sjau - Yes, that is possible with a bit of hacking. To do that you would open your myvbindex.php file and look for:

// News

Right above that you would want to add something like this:
if ($bbuserinfo['usergroupid']=='XX') {
$newsforum = 'A';
} elseif ($bbuserinfo['usergroupid']=='YY') {
$newsforum = 'B';
} else {
Then you would want to look for:
$DB_site->free_result($getnews);
unset($news);
And right below that add:

}

In the first bit of code you added you would need to change the variables accordingly. You would change the 'XX' and 'YY' there to the usergroupid's you want a different news forum for. Then you would change the place you see 'A' and 'B' to the forumid of the news forums you want for those usergroups. Then if you need to have more than two different groups that will see different news, you would add something like this, right above the } else { statement at the end there:

} elseif ($bbuserinfo['usergroupid']=='ZZ') {
$newsforum = 'C';

That should be about it. Any usergroups that you have specified above will see news from the forum specified, and anyone not in one of those usergroups will see your news from your default news forum.

mv540 - Off the top of my head I'm not sure what would need to be changed to have the new topics stay around longer. I'm pretty sure that goes by the last time a user visited your site, but I don't remember for sure. You could probably find an answer if you asked in the General Hacking Discussion forum though.

Thx Tigga,

I'll try my best. Just one more question. Is it possible to de/activate features in the myvbindex.php file that are turned on/off in the admin CP?

Can the myvbindex.php file also reside OUTSIDE the main forum pages? If so I could give FTP access to the clans for each webfolder where they then can upload layout graphics and modify their own myvbindex.php file.

I'm trying to get my latest posts to show who posted last on the thread, but when I make the changes posted in an earlier message, the date changes to a date in 1969, and the last poster name doesn't change (I made all changes that were listed in the message previously).

I'm using version 3.1 if that helps any...

Tigga
05-01-2003, 05:06 AM
sjau - By de/activating the features shown in the Admin CP, are you saying you would like to remove some of them? And yes, the file can be placed in any folder you would like.

Mythril - If you'll refer to this post (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?postid=348560#post348560), it will show you how to add one seperate page in place of the news. Then if you'll look at the instructions I posted here (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?postid=349929#post349929) to Matrix, that will tell you what you would need to do to add more than one seperate page if needed.

Heffe2000 - If you followed the instructions in that post then you shouldn't have any problems. I would recomend undoing the changes you made and make sure it was done correctly. Or if you want to upgrade to v3.2 of the hack this is already included. You will have to change the place of some of the variables since it shows the last poster and time when you hold the mouse over the thread, but it would just be modifying some HTML in the template. :)

sjau

Tigga,

it's cool to run the file from every folder. However I have one more question (I'm really sorry, I just wanna get it as perfect as possible!!!):

As I mentioned above I will host at least two clans. This means there is a main category "Clan Center" and one of the Clan has a sub-category "=wOw=". Within this category there are the clan forums.

It will not easily be possible to tweak your index file that much that it will display the 10 newest "=wOw=" threads?

If you just don't have a solution at hand I will have to look for one then..

Anyway, thx again for that great script!

Tigga
05-01-2003, 09:47 PM
sjau - That wouldn't be hard to do, but what you would need to do depends on exactly how you're using the script. I'm assuming you're planning on using 2 seperate files placed in seperate folders. If that's the case, you would just need to open your myvbindex.php file and look for:

WHERE open<>10 $iforumperms

And replace that with:

WHERE open<>10 AND forumid=XX
(replace XX there with your =wOw= forumid)

I'm not sure I see what you're trying to do with using the script in different folders though... The style, graphics, and most everything visual is controlled by the templates and nothing in the actual php file. There's probably a way you can accomplish this though styles, but I don't see the point in having more than one script installed in different folders. Of course it's possible that I'm misinterpreting what you're trying to do, but I was just making sure you weren't wasting time on something that wouldn't work right. :)

Hiya Tigga,

thanks for your help. I will try to accomplish that on the weekend.

You see, for the two clans I'm hosting I would like to have clan individual entry pages since both clans have each their own entry pages.

This way clan 1 will have displayed the 10 newest threads regarding their clan while clan 2 has the 10 newest threads regarding clan 2.
The will be in different locations for each clan. They also have some webspace available where they can add other things. They could for example host their whole website there.

Tried adding additional custom boxes but even with modifing the index.php(named to that from myvbindex.php) and add the templates , plus added $custom3 , 4 , and 5 .. It does not want to show them.

Also any way to add these extras to the admins panel so they can be turned off or on?

It's good to see that you are still working on this script.

So here's my situation... I am myVbindex 2.0. Do I need to re-install, and will I lose my 'multiple instances' that you helped me setup before.

Hi Tigga,

I was wandering if the 'Latest Forum Topics' feature can display message body as well as title (which it does).

Reason I ask is that I have been using Tubedoq's 'Last 10 posts' hack, which gives an option to turn message body to be displayed on/off. It also has an option to say how many letters do be shown; like your does for the message title. I have configured myvbindex 3.2 and it works a treat. But in order to lure visitors to the forum, I like to show them a bit of a message body as well on my home page.

Tigga
05-03-2003, 04:16 PM
glo - Yes, it should be possible replicate that page. Everything is controlled by templates, so it should just be a matter of modifying the html in the templates to fit your needs

madhouse - If you'll refer to this post (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?postid=341569#post341569), it will tell you how to add the options to turn those templates on/off in the Admin CP.

jarvis - It's been quite a while since v2.0 and I don't think I even have a copy on my computer to compare 3.2 to anymore. Unfortunately I think your best bet would be to uninstall the script, and then do a new install of 3.2. You should be able to follow the same instructions though to have multiple instances of the script working, but if you have any problems let me know and I'll be glad to help.

ivanmcp - I'm not sure if there would be a way to do that without having quite a few additional queries on your homepage. I tried testing a few methods but didn't see a good way to do that without a lot of queries, or quite a bit of extra work. If you don't mind having an additional query on the page for each thread you have displayed then I can tell you how you could do it that way, but I wouldn't recommend it.

ivanmcp

Tigga,

If you don't mind having an additional query on the page for each thread you have displayed then I can tell you how you could do it that way, but I wouldn't recommend it.

I would not mind seeing what is involved. But if you have no time, I think I can bring Tubedoq's script in there somewhere. I am not worried about additional queries, as I am not including many of the boxes on my test page of mYvBindex. I only use Calendar, Poll, Weather, News and Latest Forum Topics boxes.

For some reason, I preffer myvbindex to the other alternatives. If I can create my vision using mYvBindex, I will have to reward your effort that you put into this thing. Man, looking through this thread, you never get tired of constant 'technical support'. I wish I knew the way to search through this thread alone, and not the whole board, as it is getting far too long now. You need forum of your own :).

Enough of praise, off to play with templates. Once finished, I'll invite you to have a look. :)

Tigga
05-03-2003, 11:02 PM
Thanks for all the compliments ivanmcp. :)
Just for future reference, there is a "search thread" feature. It's at the bottom of every thread here. ;)

Well to pull the contents of the post as well, here's what you would need to do... Open your myvbindex.php file and look for:
$lastposttime = vbdate("$timeformat",$thread['lastpost']);
Right Above that Add:

*Edit* The codes got messed up since there were so many vB code's in there, so I'm attaching it in a text file for you.

(I just borrowed the str_replace options from tubedogg's hack. ;)) Then at the very top part of that code you'll see $maxpostchars='50'. You would just change 50 to however many characters of the post you want it to display before it replaces the rest with "...". Then you would just add $pagetext in your index_threadbit template wherever you would like to display the text. It should be pretty easy, but if you have any problems let me know.

ivanmcp
05-04-2003, 08:24 AM
Thanks for that, I will check it out later on today.

And as far as search this thread option is cencerned, lets all say it together, on 3:

1 ..... 2 ..... 3 ...... DDOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

edit: nice hack, but should be placed somewhat higher. One never scrolls down to the copyright notice.

Glad to hear it's working ok. When I tested it on my site the queries were rather small, so hopefully there won't be too much of a performance hit. :)

Hi Tigga,

What i mean is...

Ideally I would like 2 have only 2 columns, The News in the centre and the user cp, active users, custom templates and polls all on the right column instead of the left hand side.

As I dont want to use the Latest Forum topics.

Tigga
05-05-2003, 10:14 AM
Ahh ok. Yes, you can do that by editing the index template and changing the table structure there.

ivanmcp
05-05-2003, 02:09 PM
Login to your forum admin, click on Templates (bottom left), then Modify.
If not expanded, click on Expand, then find mYvBindex Templates and click [expand].
From there, click on index [edit] . This is the default template, where I commented all the columns:

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">
<html>
<head>
<!-- no cache headers -->
<meta http-equiv="Pragma" content="no-cache">
<meta http-equiv="no-cache">
<meta http-equiv="Expires" content="-1">
<meta http-equiv="Cache-Control" content="no-cache">
<!-- end no cache headers -->
<META NAME="title" CONTENT="$hometitle">
<META NAME="keywords" CONTENT="">
<META NAME="description" CONTENT="">

<TITLE>$hometitle</TITLE>
$headinclude
</head>
<body>
$index_header

<table width="100%" cellspacing="10"><tr align="left" valign="top">

<!-- LEFT COLUMN -->

<td width="165">

$welcometext

$buddylist

$loggedinusers

$search

$custom1

$currentpoll

$currentweather

</td>

<!-- END LEFT COLUMN -->

<!-- MIDDLE COLUMN -->

<td valign="top">$newsbits</td>

<!-- END MIDDLE COLUMN -->

<!-- RIGHT COLUMN -->

<td valign="top" width="170">

$custom2

$stats

$calendar

<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0" bgcolor="#0A293E" width="100%"><tr><td>
<table cellpadding="4" cellspacing="1" border="0" width="100%">
<tr id="cat"><td bgcolor="#1D6AA0"><smallfont color="#000000"><b>Latest Forum Topics</b></font></smallfont></td></tr>
$threadbits</table></td></tr></table>

</td>

<!-- END RIGHT COLUMN -->

</tr></table>
$index_footer
</body></html>

So, to move eg. weather box to the right column, just type $calendar in your left column where you want it to appear.
To copy all right hand column items to the left, you just move everything from right column between <td> and </td> tags, and then delete those (<td> and </td>).

This will leave you with only two columns.

hey Tigga, back on my old forum i changed the file to index.php. i made about 3 copies of this index.php for different pages in folders. they all worked fine. since i moved to the new site i dont get an error, it tries to load the page for like 10 minutes at a blank page then it gives me a page not found. www.darknemesis.com check it out

Tigga
05-05-2003, 06:26 PM
That's odd that it would just give you a blank page like that. The best thing I could suggest would be to double check that all the templates are there. There's not anything else I can think of off the top of my head, so if you would like to set me up a temporary admin account at your forums and possibly FTP access to your server I'll log in and take a look. Oh, and I can't see anything on your site right now as you have your forums closed. I'm seeing the closed message on your homepage though, so that would mean parts of the script are actually working right.

Two major problems I need help with ASAP.

The regular part of the script installed OK, but I ran into a stonewall when I tried to install the weather script (the install script keeps giving me a "This page cannot be displayed - Cannot find server or DNS Error"). Harken - I'm really not sure why you would get a blank page like that if all the templates are installed and installed... If you would like to set me up a temporary admin account & FTP account and PM me with the details I'll gladly take a look to see what the problem is.

Goat Boy - There may be a way you could redirect users to your myvbindex page rather than the index page, but I'm not too familiar with redirects so I'm not sure how easy that would be to do. Alternatly you could rename your original index.php file and change the places in vBulletin and it's templates that calls your index.php page. I've never had a reason to do anything like that, so I'm not sure how hard it would be.

Jacko - When you put in the path to the smilies are you putting in the full path to them (ex /forums/images/whatever.gif)?
Thanks for pointing out the PM thing. I've been meaning to put instructions for that in the readme file for a while now and have forgotten every time I made an update. To fix that you just need to look in your head_newpm template and find private.php in two places. Replace that with $bburl/private.php both times.

Thanks for pointing out the PM thing. I've been meaning to put instructions for that in the readme file for a while now and have forgotten every time I made an update. To fix that you just need to look in your head_newpm template and find private.php in two places. Replace that with $bburl/private.php both times.

sorted :)

excellent and quick reply and straight to the point (am still yet to get a PM on my main page though, maybe cause no-one wants to PM me :()

jarvis - That's odd... Was it giving you problems before you changed the newsforumid part? You could try changing that query to something like this:
WHERE isnews='Y' AND forumid=41 OR forumid=42 OR forumid=39 OR forumid=47
If that doesn't work let me know.

Jacko - That's something to do with a hack you've installed. I can tell you it's something to do with the "allowdollaroffers = " part, but that's about it...

Hello.
I did not want to read now 83 sides.
Therefore I write my request times at the risk that it was already times answered.

One can change that somehow that one can from the index gentleman out with a Vote co-ordinate and then to the inquiry is not linked, but to the index side back comes. And the same also with that log in.

Naturally one is not to that to then co-ordinate from the forum with the index to come.
Thus nevertheless already a little distorted the whole.

Und jetzt noch mal auf Deutsch. Die Google ?bersetztung ist echt grausam ;)

Hallo.

Angelus - I'm sorry, but I'm having a hard time making out what you're trying to say. I'm guessing you're having some kind of a problem with the poll section and users logging in? If you could try to explain the problem again and possibly post a link to your website here I'll try to help.

and I read as much of the thread as I could before posting...

I can no longer log out from the boards. I have messed with the options in my profile but nothing is working.

No one else can log out, either.

Help?

Nope... resolved it by going with one dot on the cookie:

survivoraddicts.com

I have myvbindex.php on a master domain and the boards on a subdomain.

Works flawlessly and looks great! Very nice work!

One small issue and maybe a setting that I am overlooking will do the trick.

I am not logged in and there is a thread that is happening in our Moderator's Forum which I would rather not show up on the "Latest Forum Topics" on myvbindex.php. Is there some way to exclude certain boards from showing up there? (When I click on the link it doesn't allow me to see it but I would rather exclude the entire board if I can.)

Any way to do this?

Check that your forum permissions are set correctly, and double check that the "Use custom settings" radio button is selected at the top (that seems to be something that's very often overlooked). As long as all the permissions are set correctly it will only pull threads the user has permission to see.

That seems to have done the trick!

Great hack, man. Way up there... with the Arcade. Well done!

Oddly enough, I'm havng a bit of trouble logging out and am having it mentioned to me by a few users now too. I've done so many changes though and can't pinpoint why. I've also added PhotoPost and intergrated it with vB...could something be messing up my cookie stuff with MyvBindex? If I log out via vB's index and then go to myvbindex...it has me still logged in.
Tigga, could you lend me a hand with it? I'm stumped with what happened.
Everything is only on one domain for me.

Hrmmm... What do you have set for your "Cookie Domain" and "Path to save cookies" options and/or what have you tried setting those to? I'm assuming you've tried clearing your cookies as well, right?

I have domain at: .mysite.com
path: /
I now think it's having to do with the damn PhotoPost intergration. I cleared all cookies and logged in and out fine...until I visited the photo gallery...it's like it's placing a separate set of cookies or something weird. I guess I should visit their forums and try to figure this out.

If you can log in from the forums and index page fine then it would definitely be a problem with PhotoPost. I vaguely remember having some kind of problem like that when I used PhotoPost, but I've written my own photo gallery since then and it's been a while since I've used it.
