Greetings all... I have just purchased VB and have got to the point where I want to import the data from the XMB we were using previously. I get to step 2, then this error appears:
Database error in vBulletin Control Panel 2.2.8:
Invalid SQL: SELECT COUNT(*) AS count FROM svtowner_xmb1.xmb_members
mysql error: select command denied to user: 'svtowner_root@localhost' for table 'xmb_members'
mysql error number: 1142
Can anyone provide insight or guidance that may assist me in completing this task?
I'd greatly appreciate any help!

Thanks for the reply- but I did get an email from VB support and they informed me that the error was user permissions for the XMB database. I enabled the VB username to access the XMB databse and the import worked great!!
Thanks again...

Where do you get the converter from?

This importer should be included with your download of VB. There should be an IMPORTERS folder.
be SURE to delete the import script file after you run the import!
As I indicated in my post, you also have to make sure the two databases have a common user, or the import will not execute...
VB rocks!!!!! :D :D
