By default, if a user has acrobat reader installed, the browser will open the files if you click on a link to a pdf file.
I am doing a site for a friend who is linking to 3 huge pdf files of product catalogs. She would like to have the pdf files downloaded and saved instead of viewed. She is also concerned about idiot users who can't grasp the right click and save target as bit.
Is there a way I can write a download script that will force the file to download instead of view?
